I have a sudanese neighbour with 5 kids that I've made friends with
She has a two month old DS - every time that child grunts or bleats, a boob is stuck in his mouth - no matter where they are, up comes the top and in goes the boob.
If mum is trying to help one of her DD's with something and the boob slips out then the 11yo grabs the boob and the baby's head and stick it back in his mouth.
He's NEVER EVER left to cry - EVER, mum picks him up immediately, or one of his older sisters - and he never really cries either
The mum (sole parent) co sleeps with the 2 yo and 2mo, the 4 yo has just shifted into bed with the 6yo.
The 2yo never cries either, is gently distracted from undesirable behaviour.
I love the way this women mothers her kids - I so want to be earth mother like she is

I have a indian friend like this shes so calm, kids are quiet and well behaved unlike my loud 2 she has 6 and all together her 6 are quieter than my 2 lol.
I wish I was as calm and collected as her maby in turn it rubs off on the kids.
Hhhmmmm sounds nice!!:)
My boys are 4 and 17 months and most nights are we are all in bed together (DH WORKS NIGHTS,AND 4YO HAS HIS OWN BED)
My boys fossick round in bed, mutter away when someone slings thier arm over another but then cuddle up together 1 min later!!I love it:D
Co-sleeping is amazing!!We all need a snuggle!!!
As for boob- DS2 is teething 4 molars ATM,and whinging is ALL GO!!So a boob in mouth is the only way to make him ssshhhhhh!!!
:valentine: oh sounds so lovely, i love co sleeping :valentine:

Working class mum thanks for sharing , what a beautiful example of AP. I am a first time mum to a 11 week old DS and this gives me such inspiration and warms my heart as I often worry can I AP more than one child, I constantly worry about this for when I have more children I just cant bear the thought of having to leave one to cry / force them to self settle cause I cnat comfort them etc.. if this lady can do it , anyone can !!!!!!!!
