Hi everyone,
I am a mum to two beautiful children and a student midwife at ACU in Melbourne.
ACU Student Midwives take part in “The Follow Through Journey” program. As part of the program students need to spend time with pregnant women who are approximately halfway through their pregnancy. “The Follow Through Journey” allows the women to have one on one support and to share her pregnancy and birth experience with a student. As student midwives we are backed up and supported by experienced midwife mentors who have a wealth of knowledge and are available to answer any questions we might have regarding our follow through women.
If you would like a “one on one” supportive relationship during your pregnancy, birth and early post natal weeks and you are willing to share your experiences of pregnancy and childbirth with a midwifery student I would love to hear from you.
The level of student involvement is controlled by the follow through woman. Whether it is to discuss the progress of your pregnancy, attended appointments or ante-natal classes or pregnancy seminars, the choice is the woman’s.
I would love to hear from any women/girls who might be interested.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about the Follow Through Journey program or better still if you think you might like to be a part. :yelclap:
Thanks
Gillian
