I googled dreams about having a particular sex and another parenting forum came up. there were so many women there who said they had dreams about a particlar sex and then they went on to have that sexed baby.
sooooo mums out there. have you had a dream that you are having a particular and then went on to give birth to that sex?

I used to (and still do) dream of having a girl. I have them quite regularly! I ended up with 2 boys :)
i've never had dreams about the sex of my babies before and i was so shocked when i saw my baby girl in my dreams....i was convinced it should have been a boy.
darn those dreams...they get your hopes up. lol

All along I thought I was having a boy then had a dream I was having a girl...and had a girl :D

I had a dream that I went to pick up my child from daycare and my childs name was Mikayla- our girls name at the time, and she had only my surname on the roll...? Not sure what that meant but I ended up having a BEAUTIFUL boy :)

Maybe not totally relevent to what your question is but I thought this was interesting!!
My friend told me the other day that her friend is pregnant and came to work saying that she had a dream about a horse!! She said she hates horse and thought it was really werid!! Someone then said to her that if you dream of horses while pregnant you will have a girl.... and if you dream of snakes you will have a boy!! The women that dreamt of the horse found out a week later at her 20 week scan she is having a baby girl!!

there were massive snakes in my dream last night, outside the baby's window. snake skin to be specific. :laughing:

I couldnt vote, i had a dream that i had twins, a boy and a girl, but my girl was..lost or kidnapped and i was left with my boy. I had a boy :)

Ive also heard that snakes are a sign of pregnancy!!
A girl I use to work with had a dream that her sister was in a pit full of snakes.... she was told that it ment pregnancy and found out a couple of days later that her sister was pregnant!!
I dreamt about snakes about 3 weeks before I got my :bfp: with this pregnancy!!
I think all of this stuff is really interesting, even if it is just a little bit of fun!!!

i find out in 3.5 weeks...there will be a freak-out thread the day before, i assure you all. april 9th!

I have two boys as well (one is a noah) and we are TTC #3 and....I have to say I will be exactly the same...
Happy either way....but if I HAD to choose well....a girl would be lovely:cloud9:

:laughing: we have tried everything so i will rest knowing we did the diet, the timing, ph testing and positions. if we get a boy, its REALLY meant to be a boy.

I had a very vivid dream one night:
I dreamt I was sleeping in my parents room with dh, and a little boy about 6 or older was at the window on the verandah looking in the window and smiling, he looked like dh when he was a boy but not exactly, he also had dark hair like mine, but dh had blonde hair, he then came through the front door and dissapeared and I woke up. I knew it was my son and when I woke up I told dh cause it was one of those dreams.
This was 2 years before I fell pregnant, when I was pregnant I was dreaming of girls, excpet one which was also very vivid of a boy I'd just given birth to. Everyone thought I was having a girl, but I knew it would a boy.
Ds now looks like that boy I had a dream of too, not that it's wierd, who else would he look like, but my instincts tell me it was him coming to say g'day and to enter my life.

when i was in high school i loved to draw, faces especially. i was never very good at drawing babies but this one time i drew a picture of a little boy with lots of dark hair and big brown eyes. i found that picture the other day, it looks just like my Owen.

DS1 & 2 - i dreamt they were boys, and they both were.
this time, i dreamt of a girl numerous times... 3 scans so far have showed a penis, and the last showed testes as well. so id say my dream was wrong! lol

Df dreamt when i was around 10 weeks that i gave birth to a little girl.
It wasn't until around 3 weeks ago that i had a "feeling" bub was a girl.
We had it confirmed that we were having a girl last weekend. Df's dream was right!!

I had several dreams when I was pregnant with DD that I was having a girl. The night before my 20 week scan I dreamt that I was having the scan and the doctor who was doing it (and I knew this man his face etc as he is the top dog in scanning on the mornington peninsula so he was the man in my dreams) said its a girl. I had so many dreams before my scan and had such a strong feeling that I was having a girl that I had already bought pink stuff :p. Of course the scan revealed she was a girl :yelclap:
Since the birth of DD I have had a lot of dreams about having another baby and every dream I have had it has been another boy. I really do see another baby boy in our future.
I seem to almost have a sixth sense about myself, when I got PG the first time with DH I went through my first trimester without a hint of doubt etc.. The night before my 12 week scan I woke up DH in the middle of the night as I had a dream that our baby was dead, I said to him I think the baby is dead. He hugged me and told me I was being silly and went back to sleep but by 8.30am the following morning our dreams were crushed, our baby had died at around 9 weeks whilst I was devestated by the news I was also prepared for it. It still creeps me out a bit that I knew it was going to happen :(

I not only dreamt of their sexes but what they would look like too. DD was a blondie with brown eyes (correct) and ds was a blondie with blue eyes (correct)
The only difference was dd was a toddler in my dream, actually maybe even older, older than she is now. Ds was a baby, about the age he is now, I remember because in my dream he was squishy and cuddly and just the other day I was thinking while cuddling him it was exactly like the dream.
I can't actually remember if I had gender dreams with DS1 - but I always felt right from the start he was a boy anyway.
When I was pg with DS2 I used to have regular dreams about the moment of birth - but I used to ALWAYS wake up just before I'd find out whether bub was a boy or girl!! :rolleyes:
Then, in one dream not long before he was born, I dreamed that the Doctor was saying "Its a boy" but I was looking at the baby and could see girl bits :confused: So my dreams never revealed anything conclusive anyway! He kept me waiting right until the very end.
