who lives near kingston/woodridge area or forest lake?
we are looking at moving to those areas and i was wondering who from bubhub lives there and what it is like?
thanks belinda
I don't mean this to offend anyone, but Forest Lake is much nicer than Kingston/Woodridge. Forest Lake is very family orientated and there's a few parks and things around. I personally find Kingston to be a little 'rough'.

On the plus side for Kingston though, housing is still cheap and I read that the Logan area will boom in the future due to location (close access to Pacific HWY and Gold Coast) That could be ****, but I did look at investing there before I fell pregnant.
I did live at Kingston with a friend for 4 months when I broke upwith my ex. Yes I did find it a bit rough compared to where I was used to living, but to be honest I didn't find it to be as bad as its reputation! However, I didn't have a child so didn't consider it from a family perspective, schools etc....
Good luck on deciding:)

I live in Kingston.....ummmm let me see....
Our house is on a busy street close to a school, but it is suprisingly quiet. We have had no trouble whatso ever..... depends on what parts of Woodridge, my cousin lives in the outer part and she says it's fine, but personally I wouldnt live there...
Kingston is close to a nice park, Meadowbrook Park, but it's a small drive....other than that, most of our parks are shadeless.....
Any help???????
It's not as bad an area as people make out...

Hi Belinda
We moved to Woodridge in March of this year, we are on the Underwood side. Yes, there are parts of the neighbourhood that can be rough, but...
* housing is cheap
* services are excellent - child health, doctors galore, medicare etc
* schools and childcare abundant - we found a great centre in our own street! No waiting lists, lots of vacancies, you can pick and choose
* shopping is great - ALDI, cheap butchers and fruit and veg.. you get bargains in this neighbourhood that are unbeatable!
* not too far from town (quick 20 min trip on M1) and not far from Gold Coast
We bought here because we could get a nice place with a very manageable mortgage that we could pay off on one income. We have no regrets and I have already met some very cool Logan mums via bubhub :)

Hi there, I grew up in Woodridge. I have an excellent upbringing, a great family, a wonderful husband, a steady job & a beautiful new son. I no longer live in woodridge but could only suggest that if you move there, move closer to Compton Road - it's the better end. I now live in Rochedale South near Springwood. As for Forest Lake, I work in that area & I could not stand living so close to someone. You could literally walk out your back door & shake your neighbours hand :)

we live in forest lake and personally i dont like it very much. yes its a nice place but the blocks are soo small the houses almost touch and i have seen 2 houses touching in a part of forest lake..... i have never lived in the other suburbs but a friend told me kingston is a bit ruff.
Hi i live in forest lake and i like it. True most of the blocks are really small but we live in the older part of forest lake among some of the first houses and we have a really big block of land and its a really nice area. I live in the woods estate. real nice. My husband grew up in kingston and yes it was really nice back then with a 2 lane road now with the 4 lane road (Kingston road) his old house would not be real nice to live in.
