Not interested in bottle or food!

Hi everyone!

Tayla is 6.5 months now and up until last week, she had been sleeping frmo 7 - 7 every night and having 4-5 feeds a day of 150 ml.

The past several days, she has not been interested in drinking more than 100ml and I have started her on rice cereal but she isn't really interested in the food and would much rather play with the spoon!

Plus, she has woken up religiously at 10pm, 320am and 550am as well and we give her a bottle but she falls asleep!

Has anyone found this around the 6 month mark for their bub? We think she is teething as well but nothing showing as yet.

Yes, ds has been similar. He has started teething and about 2 or 3 days before the first one popped through he was unsettled, not really into his food or milk and waking more at night.

Now the tooth has broken through things have settled down a bit.

He wasn't drooling and he didn't have red cheeks so I wasn't sure what it was, but I'm sure now it was the tooth.

Perhaps check bubby's gums. They feel quite rough just before the tooth pops up.

Yep, have checked the gums constantly and nothing!

I have heard that sometimes it takes months of these symptoms before anything comes through but then others, it is only a few days!!!

Sooooooo hard to know what's wrong?!

being a 6 month old, we are sticking to a feed every 3 hours but should we stretch this out to 4 hourly? Sometimes I think she isn't hungry when we feed her although she will drink if offered it!

My oldest wasnt interested in Food either, but the bottle is a different story. I just find keep offering it, and then she started. Maybe try a different brand of rice cereal?
But when she was teething she didnt eat or drink. That was the same with Abby. It took atleast 2 months before her tooth would come through. It was hell.

I think that is what is happening now as she only has 100ml 5 times a day as we feed her every 3 hours still and even then it is a struggle to get her to drink it. She has taken well now to pears and banana rice cereal but isn't overly fussed still.

Damn the teething for ruining my uninterrupted sleep at night!

Has anyone else found that when their bub started solids that they went off their bottle? Tayla is drinking less and less and her last feed she refused!

is she still on reflux meds, i found with mine that every groth spurt, cold, heat, tired, teeth,over crying brougt it all on. i also have lived wat you are, she also hated rice cearl at first i started on weetbix i know you are not supose to but it got her eating then we changed it.i posted a reply on other one
