View Full Version : I have had enough
DS2 is now 7 weeks old and I am still bleeding. I know I have a bit of placenta in me but I have had enough. In the last week and a half it has gotten that heavy that I don't want to leave the house. I don't know how much longer I can put up with it. Thank god I see my gyno tomorrow.
Sorry if TMI.

You poor honey!! :hugs: Try laying down and push your tummy in a downwards motion. It'll help get the clots out and stop your bleeding sooner. If you're willing to try that, do it a few times a day. Goodluck at your app tomorrow, i hope everything is fine. :fingerscrossed:

When my son was born at 4 days postpartum I had some of the placenta release and come out. I had to see my Dr. to have him remove the rest. He said this could have been very bad and most women nedd a D & C to avoid hemmoraging. If you know you still have some of the afterbirth left I suggest you see your Dr. now , especially if you are bleeding heavy.
I saw a dr in A&E last friday and he just said it was AF turning up and gave me a tablet to stop make it stop. I went for an U/S that afternoon and that is when they found the bit of placenta. I went to my GP after the U/S and he told me not to take anymore of those tablets. He is hoping that it passes itself before I get to the gyno tomorrow but I am seriously thinking of going and seeing my GP again today as it is getting heavier again. I am lucky if a maternity pad is lasting 2 hours atm without over flowing (sorry if tmi)

I would recommend having a D&C. I had to have one after I had DS2 because they had left some behind and the bleeding just got worse and worse until I had it.
Good luck with you appointment tomorrow. I have my :fingerscrossed: for you that it goes well.
Please let us know how you go.
Ring your Gyno NOW and tell them what is happening. If reception don't put you through straight away over the phone ask for a call back ASAP as this a can very a very serious matter. Do not wait till tomorrow unless your gyno tells you to. But if the bleeding gets any heavier I would go to your local hospital, it is not right that 7 weeks on you still have afterbirth in your womb. Very dangerous.
Well all my GP did was give me a referal for another U/S. And told me to come back next week. :banghead: Looks like to get anything done I have to wait till tomorrow to see my gyno.
Thank you ladies for your support.
