DS has 7 teeth, they started coming through at about 7 months, in quick succession so at about 8-9 months he had 7, 4 upper, and 3 lower. but now they've stopped.

he's almost 13 months now, so it's been about 4-5 months since the last came though, although he's had teething symptoms.

my mother, is qualified as a dental nurse (though she's now a practice manager, she still does some relief nursing) and is getting worried that the tooth that hasn't come through has fused to the one next to it. i'm not particularily worried, i can't see it being an awfully big deal but has this happened to anyone elses bubba?

TIA

DS got his first 6 teeth fairly quickly and we are still waiting for the rest to show it has been about the same length of time as yours and he too has had teething symptoms to the point I could feel the tooth under the gum .... yikes maybe I should be worried too?????

are your DS teeth 'even' (does that make sense? lol) as in does he have say, 4 bottom and 2 top? or is it 3 and 3?

she seems to be really concerned that he has an odd number, apparently they're meant to rock up evenly, as in if he has 8 she'd be happy, even though it's been quite a while but cause he has 7 it's an issue.

mm, babies are confusing (but lovely :D)

eta: you can't actually feel or see the 8th as well. which is also concerning, apparently.

No his are even 4 top and 2 bottom - I see what you mean - perhaps a trip to the dentist might set your mind at ease???

lol it's not really my mind that needs setting at ease, it's my mothers. i just wanted to see if it's happened to anyone else here, and what they did.

mum said if they don't rock up soon, he needs to have his mouth x-rayed (i can imagine the joy of x-raying a babies mouth )

i guess it is an issue. all the other teeth are almost fully through (and sharp! i'm feeding him and he just bit me!)
