Circing boys is like cutting off someones earlobes if they arent going to get earings.......

WDYT???

I kinda agree, as long as circing isnt done for medical reasons.....

But besides the medical perspective, i do agree!

I'm a bit confused about the earings part. I think I agree with this "Circing boys is like cutting off someones earlobes" when talking about RIC. Just think of the benefits you'd never get cancer of the ear lobes ;)

I kinda agree, it would be like cutting off your ear lobes.

Unless its for a medical reason.

huh

so is that 'leave the foreskin so they can choose to have it pierced? cause thats how i'm reading it :o

but yep, to me, its no different to removing all the finger and toenails to prevent an infection
removing the breast tissue in infant girls cause we can get cancer there (and obviously, cause dad likes smaller breasts better than big ones )

No i think the later reason.....Its no different to cutting a finger nail, or say an earlobe. Your born with them.........so why cut if off....ya know.........

You would never cut your earlobe off, unless you have a medical reason. Why cut forskin off???

That analogy really doesn't make a lot of sense to me since to my knowledge earlobes really don't contribute to hearing; the foreskin has protective and sexual functions. We also really can't predict whether a child will someday want earings, but the foreskin protects the penis throughout life and will almost certainly "be used" during sexual activity in adulthood. On an ethical level I suppose they're similar since we're still talking about cutting off parts of healthy, non-consenting children without any pressing or immediate medical indication.

Thats what i think, she was getting at...The ethical reasons. "they're similar since we're still talking about cutting off parts of healthy, non-consenting children without any pressing or immediate medical indication."

I was kinda confused as well, but then i thought about it on a not so eye for an eye level. Like just looking at it from it a body part, why cut it off........

If you are not going to circumcise I would not remove the ear lobes they might have sexually erotic nerves.
