Have you been in touch with the ABA? That would be the best advice I can give...or PM goosie - she is amazing
Let us know how you get on.

I'm sorry that you're finding breastfeeding challenging- it really is hard hard work- but good on you for persevering!

Just so I can clear up in my head what's happening- is your bubbie sucking at all at your breast- and after a little while coming off and you having to re-attach- or is baby flat out refusing the breast?

I know when my bubs were little and we were all learning to breastfeed- I would reattach at least 5 or 6 times each feed- they'd (have twins) come off, fall asleep, carry on- etc etc. I found that introducing a bottle of EBM didn't help any- if anything it gave them nipple confusion a bit (as the sucking is different out of a bottle)

Also- how much you express isn't a true reflection of how much milk you are producing- a bubby can suck much more efficiently and get more out than what you can express.

If it was me- I would contact the ABA or a lactation consultant- they will be able to give you great advice and help sort things out! Offer the booby as much as possible- you're doing a great job and you'll sort it out!!

I know it's hard- it took me about 4 weeks to sort out the breastfeeding stuff- well to get my bubs on the boob- you'll get there!

I have the same thing happen with my little boy who is 3wks old. He spends his whole feed bobbing on and off. I called some breastfeeding hotline who said that it could be either he has gas and you need to let him fart etc first before he can feed (not so easy when they are screaming with hunger) or it could be that he was full and didn't want it but this isn't the case either because it can be right at the start of the feed as well.

So I'll be keeping an eye out to the reply to this one too!
