View Full Version : Does this sound like teething?
I think Bailey is teehing but im not sure???
He hasnt been overly cranky however he has been really clingy to me, doesnt want to be put down at all.
He is trying to get his entire fist in his mouth, always chewing something.
Grabbing his ear and back of his head.
Sucking is his bottom lip ( has been doing this for a few weeks)
I can feel sharp in his mouth behind the gum but can only very faintly see 2 white spots on his gums if I look really really closely?
His cheeks are not bright red and i thought they would be if he was teething.
He is 8 1/2 months. does this sound like teething?
I'm certainly no expert, just a mum to an 11.5mth old, but it certainly sounds like teething to me!! Good luck and hope the teeth come through soon.

My DD is putting her fists in her mouth and is generally more cranky then usual, i can also see a white spot on her gum!
im guessing it is, ds is going throu it now teeth No. 3 and 4 are just showing hemselves
Thanks for the replies! Im pretty sure now that it is, just strange co i have thought he was teething before and its come to nothing but in previous times he wasnt pulling his ear and I was told this is a sign of teething...
Lets hope if it is teething that the teeth show themselves soon:fingerscrossed:

Good luck with the teeth, and if you see the white and hes actin glike that, the toothies arent to far away :D
ive been told by numerous people that ear pulling is not a sign of teething, its coz the baby all of a sudden discovers something new on the side of their head :)

Really?? Its funny so many different opinions on things, isnt there. ITs highly possible that your right annb, coz bailey has also just begun to pull his fingers too, which is something else new that he has found. I guess I will just put it down to teething now and if no teeth appear then i guess im wrong.
Thanks for the info though!

Usually if you can see white bits under the gum and sharpness they are teething, well thats my view of it all. My DD is a great teether, she had no other teething symtoms but sharpness and white behind gums. So Id say your little one will have teeth soon.
