I'm not sure if this is the right spot but basically....
3yr old DS seems to be very "dark" inside of himself.
He can be quite nasty, vicious, mean and just troublesome (to me, no one else).
He is always talking about hurting things and people, breaking things, killing puppies (he was bitten the other day by a neighbours puppy but him talking about killing them started long before that).
He pretends to shoot people.
He hits me and my FIL.
He breaks all of his toys on purpose and puts them in the bin himself.
And well....he just doesn't listen.
When he draws or colours in, he always prefers to do it in black. I have encouraged him to use other colours, but he always says no, and that he wants to use black beacuse it's a nice colour.
He is quite a good drawer and will draw something or a smiley face, and I praise him for the good job, only for him to turn around and scribble over the entire thing and screw it up.
He has no exposure to violent movies or violent video games (we don't have a game console or any on the PC).
At preschool, he is completely different person. All nice and sweet and loves his friends. He plays nicely and even brings home his colourful drawings to put on the fridge.
He is quite an itelligent boy otherwise and loves learning. He is good at building things with his lego and blocks and can sit and play with his cars for hours. I can also a mechanical side to him (like his father).
He is great for his father, my sister, my mother, his teacher and friends.....just not me.
We have the occassional good day where he is exceptional for me and does all the right things, in which he gets rewarded for, but other days can be explosive.
His temper and somewhat bad behaviour I am not too worried about at this stage, it's more his darkness that scares me.
I'm not sure how to correct this or whether he needs some intervention, but does this happen in other children ? Is it a phase ? I just know deep down that it's not normal and I am worried about him and if he continues to be like this, what will he be like when he gets older
