Hi. I'm a young mum with 19 + 7 month old girls.
There is actually a meet happening tomorrow at Chermside if your interested. We are meeting at 10.30 at the playcentre near the cinemas.
Feel free to come. I think some of us will have pink bubhub ribbons attached to our prams so you can tell who we are.
See Ya!

Murrumba Monkeys Playgroup

Welcome to the Murrumba Monkeys Playgroup, a member of Playgroup Queensland. Our group meets every Wednesday at 9.30am - 11.00am in the John Oxley Hall, Ogg Road, Murrumba Downs. We aim to provide a friendly and enjoyable meeting place for parents/carers and their children.

The play program is very relaxed and flexible with a variety of toys, outdoor park and play equipment. During some sessions a simple craft activity is offered for those children wishing to participate. Sometimes we share a story.

At 10.15am morning tea is provided. A refreshing cuppa and biscuits are available. Please provide morning tea for your children if you wish them to have something other than biscuits. As we do not have a roster we ask all parents to pitch in for the tasks that need to be done during playgroup. Many hands make light work.

The tasks that need attending to are:

Unpacking toys
Setting up toy areas
Setting up activity
Setting up morning tea
Cleaning up after morning tea
Cleaning up after activity
Packing up toys
Sweeping floor

The charge per visit is $4 per family, this breaks down into $1.50 for hall hire, $1 for morning tea and $1.50 goes to kitty for activities and miscellaneous items. After your third visit all participants must join Playgroup Queensland. This membership allows you and your child/ren to visit any playgroup statewide, borrow from the association’s toy libraries, discounts on purchases and most importantly, provides full insurance cover to you and your child/ren in the event of an accident. The annual cost per family is $28 per year, $20 concession.

At each visit please sign the attendance sheet located on the table by the door and place your money into the tin.

If you have any questions or concerns please speak to Gabrielle. gab.1970@bigpond.net.au

Thank you and once again welcome to our friendly group. We hope you and your little one have a fun time.
