Did you find out the sex of your baby at your 20 wk scan?

Just wondering if you found out what you were having - was it correct?

Has anyone been told one sex but it was the other?

I was told what the sex of my baby is at my 20 week ultrasound.... she said that she is 95% sure, that she would be out buying clothes etc if she was me, and at the end of the scan she said to me again.... I looked quite a few times and it didnt change!!! Would you be confident after being told that?

I was told a girl at the 20 week scan with 98% as a percentage of accuracy. At first I didn't go out and buy anything as was still really hesitant on just one scan result, but with a lack of anything else to go by just gave in and everything I have brought is for a girl - it all just run away from me. It's still in the back of my head that she may end up a boy but I don't think i'd cope very well if I was told she was a boy (despite originally wanting a boy), as I've grown so used to the girl concept.

Will get them to check again as I have a 32 week scan next week. Am looking forward to it in one sense but also a little scared.

What sex were you told! We were told BOY at 20 week scan, she said boy right at the start, then checked again at the end and said, yep 100% Boy, will be a big shock if she is wrong, as it is our 4th boy!

DS1 - told a boy...he's a boy :D

DS2&DD - told Twin A = girl, Twin B= boy...they were right..we also had the 3D scan - it was pretty obvious what we had in there!

Have only heard of it once in my circle of friends of it being wrong.

For DD1 I was told "maybe" a girl, but she wasn't really sure. Wouldn't bet on it :confused: Why not just say you couldn't tell?? Anyway, she was a girl!
Was told boys for both DS1 and DS2 :)

(Didn't find out with #3).

I think most of the time they're pretty certain.

We tried at 20 weeks she was on her tummy and refused to budge at
27 weeks told she was a girl and I could clearly see she was on the scan myself
32 weeks she wouldn't show us again
36 weeks I saw she was still a girl on the scan before I asked lol

DD1 were told she was a girl and correct.
DD2 couldnt see, but didnt want to know anyway
DS couldnt tell again, but again didnt want to know.

DS2 found out at 20wks then had it confirmed at 32wks 2 days before he was born
DS3 found out at 19wks, and had it confirmed at every scan I had after that (which was alot) in case it changed:laughing:

I was told a boy at 16 and 24 weeks but I didnt start buying clothes til after our 28week 4d scan when I could see for sure what he or she was.

With DS told at 22 weeks girl ..... the US guy said pretty sure a girl but don't spend thousands painting everything pink but he'd take a $5 bet at the pub bubs was a girl..... roll on 8 weeks bub is breech but now the same US guy is sure he is a boy........ on another 6 weeks diff town/hospital and the US lady says yep a boy see here are his testes:smiliedance: Phew only then did we buy Blue stuff

I found out with both and both were correct.
When we found out our latest was a girl I was hesitant to believe it though, we went and got a 4d u/s at 28 weeks to confirm and there was no denying it then. :)

Except, the way the sonographer worded it made me doubt it for ages :laughing: I think he was just covering his backside though, in case he was wrong. He basically said "i'm inclined to say it's a boy, but don't go buying all blue clothes".

Im so curious, I couldnt wait 9 months, so when I had my 20week scan I asked if she knew the sex, but she couldnt tell me cause my little munchkin was in an awkward position, but with my second daughter they were correct.
