I think I have all the symptoms you can ever get when falling pregnant.
I am tired all day long, sore breasts, slight craps but not major, Nausea all day long - but no vomiting other than the other night after having a coffee, constant running to the bathroom to pee, headaches and dizzy spells to the point I have to lie down.
I am eating normal and only drinking soda water that I make in the soda stream.
But I am feeling so sick and nothing seems to make it go away, and my head is so light, like a slight headache.
I am 5 weeks and found out yesterday, we had been only trying for 3 months, so I feel pretty lucky that we fell that quick considering I am in my mid 30's and its my first.
Is it also normal to feel confused about this as well, like not really excited by the situation, but in saying that, I think its because the oh threw the stick when I showed him it was positive. So its not like he is being supportive in any way.

:(( sorry that you are feeling so badly. I know exactly what you mean about being confused and not excited at times. I am also due November 7th and from 5 weeks I have had nausea everyday. I have gone through so many emotions from initially being over the moon and once the the nausea took over feeling, down, depressed, crying at times and not being able to enjoy day to day life because I am so focused on trying not to be sick.
Noone told me pregnancy could cause so many emotions all at once and could make you feel so out of control. The knowledge that a baby is the result of all this keeps me going.
I hope you do get some relief and feel better soon :)

We must have all had one thing on our mind the same night.... hahahahaha That was chocolate
I'm In Sydney.
I couldn't believe how little of time I had to find a Ob, my GP gave me a week. I have found one at Miranda, DR Ludmilla Collins and will deliver in Kareena Private Hospital.
The sickness calmed down alot, until today, I think I got a little motion sickness in the car this morning, I was a passenger and we drove for about 1.5 hours. When I finally got back to work, I was light headed and needed something sweet and some water.
I am really gassy, the worst thing is not knowing what pains I am having in my lower stomach, I am so much not a lady at the moment, trying to hide the farting I am doing. I am so bloated as well, I have never had a pot belly because I am so active, but now I have a bloated belly.
I had a ultrasound last week, so everything was confirmed, and the Cyst I had on my right ovary has grown, it usually only gives me grief when I am ovulating, but now It is painful every day. Its now 2.4cm.
The doctor is sending me for another Ultrasound next Thursday, so it will be good to see the sac and hopefully some action in the sac. But fingers crossed the cyst hasn't grown.
I have to go bra shopping, my boobs are so big, they are popping out of a C Cup, I might go to Bra's and things and get measured correctly but then again, they are going to just get bigger aren't they:thumbsdown:
I have changed from taking Folic Acid in the morning to during dinner, so that may be helping me out as well.
I'm working full time and the GP is 100m from my office which is so handy for me, and all the staff their are great. I think the greatest thing is that I only gave blood prior to falling, the doctor did all my levels including chicken pox and rubella, so when I did the home test, he didn't have to confirm, but just sent me to the ultrasound to confirm dates, because I forgot when my last cycle was as you do when you are not keeping track.
The other half isn't being very supportive in any way. He has a child to a previous relationship and we only see the child minimal because of the distance and plane fare we have to pay.
I was to be a bridesmaid in Oct, but that aint going to happen now

Hi,
I am struggling at the moment too. I am 6 weeks along and this is my first and I am having all the same problems. Gassy, bloated, tired, irritable, constipated, you name it, I have it :), and all day long.
My other half is really good, but I am getting the guilts because I am a house wife and cant help much around the house at the moment so he works and has to do the house work.
To make matters worse I am being weened off my anti-depressants and that isn't going very well either. My anxiety is through the roof which I don't think is very good for the baby.
I have also been confused because I really wanted to get pregnant and now that I am I dont want to be. I am hoping that come 12 weeks I will feel better and all this worrying will go away. Fingers crossed for all of us.
BTW - I am due on 9 Nov :)

HI guys. Feeling the same as all of you. Nauseous, bloated, aching...
Neenee, I too am a house wife at the moment as I quit my job before Christmas for other reasons. I feel so guilty like you, that my partner has to come home from work and then organise dinner and look after DS (who is 5).
About the antidepressants - I am also on antidepressants and have been for a while. However, they have told me it is better to stay on them as it is more dangerous for bub if the mother is anxious/stressed/depressed etc. Im on quite a high dose of Pristiq (which is a new form of Effexor) and it has been classed as ok during pregnancy. Are you coming off your meds because the doctor told you to, or is it personal preference? I came off mine when I was pregnant with DS over 5 years ago, but I did it myself without the doctor knowing as I just assumed I should come off them. Felt fine during that pregnancy, however all my problems came back about a year after having DS. So this time I plan to stay on them, as Im finally at a place where Im feeling more in control and more able to deal with things. I was just interested to know if you had been told you have to come off them and also what ones you are taking.
To the other girls - Im feeling your pain. I feel disgusting til about 630/700pm. Even just moving my head from one side to the other brings on an immense wave of nausea. Its like a rush of heat all the way up my spine then into the sides of my face and throat, and I have to breathe through it in the toilet til it passes. I really enjoyed everything about my last pregnancy and was looking forward to this beautiful time again. But THIS does not feel beautiful at all!
Im thinking its time to get some maxalon...

Hi All, I had my second ultra sound yesterday as the first one they only seen the sac but said it was too early, so they wanted to rule out a Blighten Ovan (emty sac).
It was so exciting to see there was a little white dot in the sac this time, and saw the heart beat. The heart beat was 117bpm. :smiliedance:
The dates have changed, they say I am only 6w2d, and due on 17 Nov. But as plenty of people have told me, dates can change on a regular basis as the baby can grow slower at some stages.
Ok I'm feeling the same! I'm constantly nausious getting headaches and cramping. As well as feeling totally run down. All in all just feel absolutly horrible!!! I'm 6 weeks today and really don't know how long I can do this!!!
Where the hell is the pregnant glow everyone goes on about???

Hi again,
I am getting that too, my skin has gone from smooth to bumping in a matter of days and it is soooo oily. very yuck!!
I am now heading into my 10th week and feeling much better though. There is still the odd day that I don't feel like moving off the couch, but the everyday feelings of wanting to give up and the terrible nausea and cramps seem to be passing. I hope that this happens for you all too as I now feel like I actually want to be pregnant.
To tashaagain, I was on Lexapro which is a low 10mg dose SSRI. I made the personal decision to come off as this particular brand can cause respiratory issues, etc for the baby if taken later in pregnancy. Now that I am off them I actually feel ok. Again, there are days where I feel worse then others but it is hard to know if it is because of coming off the Lexapro or because I am sick from being pregnant. I have also started seeing my psychologist again for advice and that has helped.
Good luck to everyone!!

I didn't hear the heart beat, but I did see it's little heart beating on the ultrasound at the Ob's. It makes you feel so much better when you see/hear the heart beat.:smiliedance:

Sorry haven't read all the thread but with both my girls I had morning sickness with no vomiting, a chinese friend gave me pickled ginger. Its not the most pleasent thing to eat, but not that bad either, and just a slice or two took away that awful feeling instantly. Its worth a try, it only costs $2 at the chinese grocer.

All i have been drinking is ginger beer, that is probably why I am feeling so fat and my little 6 pack has gone
But today i am not feeling the best, stomach craps and stuff, but nothing else. it could be because I am not regular at going to the toilet, well I am hoping that is all it is. 9w2d today.

I havn't read the othe postes but with my 1st I was violently ill, vomited all day everyday for the whole 9 months. Not fun at all. It was like having permanant gastro - horrible. There wasn't anything I could do to ease it from home as I couldn't keep anything down =(
I spent ALOT of time in and out of hospital on fluid drips and having injections of maxilon to stop the vomiting.
I hope yours isn't as bad as mine was and hope it eases for you soon.
PS. DS#2 wasn't so bad and I'm 14 weeks pregnant with #3 and havn't thrown up once! Yay! :flowerz:

Well I am in the same boat as all of you! 6 weeks today and felt fine except for a few mild waves of nausea here and there, sore huge boobs, windy and constipated off and on but other than that fairly A-OK and thought i was going to be one of the lucky ones who escape 'morning' sickness... until 3 days ago when i now realise I am definitely not missing out on the 'wonderful' joy of ALL DAY sickness!!
This is my first bub and both DH and I are very happy and excited and bubs is due on the 27th DEC... but this nausea is insane!! Unless I eat every 20 mins I just can't cope, its overwhelming - thankfully I am not needing to vomit but the nausea- wow! The only thing that seems to work is multigrain toast with a tiny bit of butter and vegemite! I really want to be eating healthy things for my bub but at the moment its the only way I can function!! Oh and drinking orange powerade, which I am worried about - any one heard if this is really bad for bubs?
I am kind of worried as to what I will do on Monday without my toaster plugged in next to me at work, as I work full time in a very busy HR office and nobody knows about bubs just yet (although I can't WAIT to tell every body)!?!
Very much looking forward to feeling 'normal' again... but even through the nausea, LOVE that the 'little one' is growing away!!

Hi all,
I feel your pain. This is my first pregnancy and I was positive I won't get morning sickness until last week...Ohh my god...Iam hating it. I'm 6 weeks now and so not happy:( Bloating, constipated, gassy,I want to gag all the time, hungry but can't eat. I'm just over it really:crying:
Well..I can say Keep your blood sugar level up by eating small, frequent meals and protein-rich snacks before going to sleep. • Walking a mile a day can help prevent the increased hormonal activity leading to morning sickness..these can help you in some extend..Prevention is a powerful morning sickness remedy.

Hi, Well I can wholeheartedly say that ginger beer is the best ever treatment for morning sickness – well for me anyway. whenever I felt like gagging, I always had a fresh piece of ginger on standby, which strangely seemed to stop the nausea whenever I smelled it – day or night! It was my best friend on my morning train trip - and I love the fact that it’s all natural too. I didn’t experience sickness for too much longer though. I had a miscarriage at 8.5 weeks. It was a few months ago now and my hubby and I went through a pretty hard time emotionally. He was so supportive and I really love him to bits. This is my first blog since. When it happened, I was at work and I had a slight brownish discharge that morning. I read that that could be quite normal so I went to my morning meeting anyway and not long into it, I felt a wetness below. I left the meeting and discovered I was bleeding. I called my OB immediately and she told me to get to the hospital. I was quite calm about it – hoping and praying for the best, but after a number of scans etc, it was confirmed that it was a non viable pregnancy. My OBGYN was Doctor Ludmilla Collins over at Kareela Private Hospital. I met her over at St George Hospital and she was fantastic! She was very explanative and she took her time with me to ensure I was ok. At the time, I had no idea miscarriages were so common – and as I was registering my details at the hospital desk, another woman standing behind me was going through the same thing! A very surreal experience I can tell you. It happened on a Thursday morning and rather than go through the pain and constant reminder over the weekend, Dr Collins gave me the option of a D&C and she did the procedure that same evening. We are now about to go for round 2 for a baby and we’ll definitely be using Dr Collins again. I would highly recommend her. Oh and I just remembered - try the pickled ginger. I bought it from our local Chinese grocer. It sounds awful I know, but it is amazing stuff. It gave me back my energy levels and held back the nauseous gags. All the best everyone!
