View Full Version : Early risers?
Hi there
I am wondering if anyone out there has found a way to get there DC to sleep past 5 or 5.30am? I have chilled out about it a lot more but i would still love a 6am start to the day!!! I just feel that whats happening is probably DS body clock so maybe nothing i can do about it?
ANyoe out there got a tip or two for a mum who thinks 5.20 am is about 40 mins too early? Btw my DS is 12 months.
Thanks!

Can you re settle him for half an hour?
Ive heard that delaying their feed until the time you want them to wake will teach them to sleep thur too?
Me....I'm still trying to work out how to get more than 2 hours straight sleep a night! LOL
Hi there
unfortunately once he sees us thats it he is up for the day! we dont give him a feed til 7am regardless of what time he wakes and have been doing that for months with no result oh well!!

Hi
If it is any consolation mine does the same thing. I have tried EVERYTHING including
* late bottles
* cutting out one day sleep
* light on, light off
* music on, music off
* big meal before bed, small meal before bed
* warm bath before bed
Still he wakes between 4.30 and 5 every morning without fail. I have now just gotten used to it and changed my other life routines to fit around him which has caused problems with DH who wonders why I don't want to stay up all night chatting or watching tv
I am hopeful it will get better as he gets older

wow 4.30 eh? !
and you are having another one! you are a better woman than i am hehe
the more it continues the more i realise its going to be a timing thing and maybe one day he will just grow out of it.
Can i ask what kinda routine your DS is on with day sleeps?
