I'm Megan, 21 today actually and I have an almost three month old baby boy- Kai. He's beautiful and I'm enjoying motherhood, but I find it very isolating because none of my friends have kids and understand what my life is like now. Hoping to chat to other new mums in the area, with the possibility of starting some sort of play group or mothers group a bit later on...

hi!

and happy 21st!

Im due to have my first baby in 8 weeks time and have to agree, all my friends are only just getting into serious rships or planning weddings and im the first in our group to actually BE married and Pregnant so im finding myself a bit isolated as somedays i would like to vent about how my pregnancy is going or get excited about it with them but they dont seem to understand. I have a ball talking about weddings and helping them plan theirs as i am only a newly wed myself.

whereabouts in melbourne are you?

Hi Luckytiger,
Congragulations on the pregnancy! Have you found out if bub is a boy/girl/surprise yet?
Sounds good to me, I wish I had tried to find some contacts whilst I was pregnant cause I found that really isolating too- didn't help that we were living in the country at that stage...
Which hospital are you off to?

Hi all i'm south of melb. I have a 2 1/2yr DS i was the same as you i lived interstate and didn't know anyone my age with a baby. I stopped going to mothers group because i was the youngest and didn't feel comfortable there. We moved here and still don't really know anyone with kids but i take each day as it comes and find this place really good at helping me cope

Just a quick question, considering we're all hailing from west and east and up and down and this which way and that... how would people feel about travelling to catch up sometime and maybe enjoy talking bout our bubs/expected bubs with others?
