Does anyone know if First Response HPT's are more sensitive to detecting hcg than they used to be.. say two to three years ago?
On the packet it says they can detect pregnancy 5-6 days before AF is due. Were those particular FR tests always able to do that??? (I'm also aware that there are two types.. the early response and the strip tests).
When I was TTC my last baby in November 2007, I used those FR tests but can't remember if they were able to detect a pregnancy that early.... however 3-4 days early seems to ring a bell with me. I've still got those original HPT's and they seem to be the same as the current FR tests I've been using.
I only ask because with my last pregnancy, I got a BFN at 10DPO but then got a BFP at 12DPO (which was about 2 days before expected AF). Today I am 10DPO and got a negative... and am expecting AF in the next couple of days... so wondering if it is possible that the same thing could happen again (realistically, I don't feel pregnant and am just grasping at straws here :D).
Can anyone shed any light on this?
