Hi Everybody

Another member answered my post about my Ultrasound. During the scan, it was discovered that I had a larger number of follicles than normal. Now i am terrified that I will not be able to donate as it could be too risky. I would still be willing to take the chance, but the Doc may not be....

Has anyone else had ANY experience with this, or even heard of anything like it? I don't think that C and A could take any more disappointment.

Thanks Guys.

Hey hon...

My first reaction was to say "dont panic" .... I am guessing that you will still be able to donate, but they will keep a very close eye on you to make sure that you dont over-stim and get OHSS.

You may also find that you will be on a very low dose of FSH (I think the lowest I remember hearing about was about 75iu, where the average dose is 150-225iu).

I am sure that Dr Dreamy will take good care of you and all will be good.

So, I have not been diagnosed as having Overstimulated Ovaries. Just a large number (29), and it's not really that bad. I think 20-25 is about right.

And.... Tell me why everyone calls Dr Livingstone, Dr Dreamy. He is a a bit of a Dreamboat (sounding like my Nanna).

Has anyone else seen him?
