I've finally made a decision (as you may have gathered from my other thread about my first bulk purchase) and am going with BBH hemp for during the day and bamboo for the night time with a woolen cover. My question is.....

Which bamboo nappy do you think is best - Tots Bots Bamboozle or BabyBeehinds Bamboo?? What are your fave point and least fave points on both?? One big seller for me with all of the Tots Bots nappies is that you can have a Snappi fastner and I wonder whether this would help create a much more snug fit?? But would the Snappies wear out the fabric on the outside of the nappy over time?

Any thoughts you're willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

My personal preference is for Tots but that's because I just prefer their fit over the BBs. Not to say that there's anything wrong with BB but they just didn't fit my DS very well. It really is a personal preference. I like the Tots because they are snappi-able which creates a really good fit on various shaped bodies and I haven't found the fabric to wear out as such from the snappi. The snaps on the BB are great because you don't have to remember to have snappis on hand.

I haven't tried the BB bamboo myself (but have seen one) and to be honest, if you are thinking about buyign them anyway, why not go for all BB bamboos instead of any hemp honeys? I'm a huge convert to bamboo because they are just so much softer than hemp and don't have that distinctive smell when they get wet. Then also get a few Tots Bamboozles to try and see what you prefer. I understand the BB bamboos dry faster than the Tots because they don't have as many layers in the body.

Hi all
I bought only one tots bots bamboozle to give it a try and I too really like it. I have some BB hemp as well and though my girl is only 4.5 months old they do get a little crispy after washing. I didn't know that BB did a bamboo and had been considering just buying some bamboo flats.
I also bought some totsbots cotton one's and these seem to be a bit bulky and crispy after washing too. I certainly hear about it when putting one on my baby as she's not that keen on the bulk either (you have to admit that if you were a baby you would probably be more inclined to choose nappies that didn't make your butt look and feel about 4 times bigger than it actually is!!

What weight do people use their tots bots size 1's up to?

Might look at the BB bamboo number....:)

Thanks for your replies girls. I would ideally like to go bamboo for all the nappies, but I just bought 5 second hand BB hemp so they'll stay in the collection also. However I think you're right about the bamboo staying softer - that's got to feel nicer for bubs. I think I will move to all bamboo and try some BB and some Tots. I do really like the idea of the snappi fastening for a snug fit, but then I like the fact that the BB are one size so I don't have to buy two lots of nappies. Arrgghh, the decisions, lol.

Completely different nappies really!
I love our Tots Bamboozles. Snappis are great for perfect fit, and the larger Size 2 can be used as a one size nappy by folding the front down. Being bamboo it doesn't add any great bulk to the nappy, and is an economical option.
The bamboo terry dries a lot faster than the denser fleece in the Beehinds (but the fabric has changed in the Beehinds bamboo so it takes less time to dry now; I'm not certain how much less time)
If drying time is an important consideration, maybe bamboo flat nappies could be a good option as they can give you lots of absorbency without lots of drying time required, and the Snappi fastening will give you a perfect fit.
And to help answer your question about Snappi snagging, it doesn't snag on the bamboo polyester fabric of the Bamboozles.
They're both great nappies though!
