School Bus

My 7 year old wants to catch the school bus am I being overprotective by worrying about this. We were thinking maybe just to try it to school for a few weeks and see how he goes. Afternoons are a little more complicated as some days he goes to after school care and my husband picks him up as I'm at work.

Luckily for us the bus stop is directly across the road from our house. I think I probaly am being very overprotective he just growing up so quickly

I might be ok with it provided it was school students only no members of the general public on the bus and that my child had an older buddy on the bus that is assigned by the school.

I would also want to ensure that the driver just didn't dump my child and drive off if I wasn't there to collect him or running late or the bus was early for some reason. I would want to know the policy about this. I would also want the bus to have seatbelts preferably.
