View Full Version : Acpuncture and Chinese Herbs to assist with conception
hi there
just wondering if anyone knows of an acupuncurist in the city who doesn't charge a fortune! I'm currently seeing on in St Kilda Road who charges $80 per session per week plus herbs $80 every week. I don't think I can keep paying this every week at the moment. Does anyone have any recommendations? I work in the CBD so somewhere there would be more convenient.
Thank you!

I have been seeing De Arne Campbell in Prahran (just behind the market) on and off for a few sessions, and I think she's about $65 a session, and not as expensive for herbs. Is your St Kilda Rd one Christine Cui? I saw her a few times but couldn't afford it so I stopped. I like De Arne because she explains a lot about how it all works. I heard of her through a friend of a friend who conceived (with PCOS) after seeing her.
And De Arne doesn't need you to come every week, I see her or her associate every 2 weeks.
yes it is Dr Christine. Thanks for the referral - she sounds really good although it might be difficult for me to get there from the city during work hours. I have heard of another recently called Wei Wei, she's based in Moonee ponds but comes into the city one or two days a week.
this once a week thing gets a bit expensive! So it's not really necessary?

I'm not sure how often you should have acupuncture - maybe it's different for each person. My place (the one in Prahran) does sessions in the evenings and Saturdays too I think, if that helps. Hope you find somewhere. I've almost reached the maximum benefit for my health insurance extras (for natural therapies) so I hope I have some success soon!
I've changed acupuncturists now, i now see Wei Wei in Elizabeth St. I believe she also works out of Moonee Ponds. She's fantastic, I'm really happy with her. I'm going back for my 2nd session today. She told me to go once a week for 6 weeks then we go down to once a fortnight. Sounds good to me!!

Sounds good Clover, I hope it happens for you quickly!
Just thought I'd pop in and say that I got a :bfp: !!!
I can't wait to tell my acupuncturist. I also took Clomid this cycle but I think the acupuncture and herbs must have helped! I'm going to keep getting it done for a bit longer as it's supposed to help with a healthy pregnancy.
wow, congratutulations!!! Thanks for letting me know, i'm very happy for you.
yeah i think it's a good idea to keep going to once you are pregnant. My acpuncturist said once I am then it would be best for me to go once a week for the first trimester.
good luck with everything ;)

Hi ladies,
I'm based just outside of Sydney, so can't help with the pricing down there. But I have a lovely guy I've started to see who only charges $20 consultation & 2 weeks herbs bought today cost me $40.
I'm yet to start the acupuncture, but he charges $40 for half hour.
I'm so excited to start the herbs tomorrow :smiliedance:
Here's hoping for a great result in a few months time!
(for all of us  )

Jane Lyttleton is apparently the best in Sydney for fertility.
Just do a search on her!
