:o

When I was 6 weeks PP, I had blood when I had to poo. Saw a doctor and he told me it woud heal. It did!

But now, its back and its agony. argh. I don't know why this keeps happening. I'm healthy and eat a lot of high fibre foods. Is there anything else I can do to aid healing or prevent it forming again? The chemist recommend laxatives which won't help the problem because *thats* not the issue!

Yes owwiee......I know exactly how this feels.

Here is a good link for you:

Just continue with the fibre as much as you can.........cereal, metamucil etc.

My advice would be to try eating weetbix in the morning, lots of fruit and drink at least 2 litres of water a day...it should help.

Sorry, Kat, but I'm a little confused. Is it a fissure or hemorrhoids?

Fissure, it got checked by the doctor last time. (so embarassing!)

I'll ask at the chemist for the cream and keep up with my water and fibre I guess! Thanks :)

I get this also. The first time I had the blood episode in the toilet I was freaking out and thinking "bum cancer" and thoughts of colostomy bags started to emerge. Ooooh dear. Embarrassing.
I have tried heaps of things, but my naturopath friend made me up a concoction. Now, I know nothing about this stuff, but on the bottle is says collinsonia 30c and aesculuc 30c. So if anyone knows what that means, it works!!
I'm sorry I can't help more....
