I wish I knew how much DS weighs now, because that would probably help you out a lot more!! I have got a few size 1's, and a few size 2's. The size 1's fit him well right now, he's 13 weeks old this week and he's, oh, probably 7ish kgs?? I'm getting him weighed on thursday so can update you then. But I put a bamboozle size 2 on him at night, I fold the front bit down (contains the boy-wee :D) and it fits him pretty well. It's a bit big still, but not way too big so it's falling down.

The covers, I've got mostly size 1 PUL covers, 1 fleece size 1 cover, and 1 size 2 PUL cover. The size 2 cover fit my DD a few months back, when we started her in cloth night-knickers. She was 18kgs at that point. Admittedly it was a tight fit, and the velcro only juuuust reached :D but it did stay on all night. And that size 2 cover I put on DS sometimes now and it does fit him, it is quite big and goes almost up to his armpits LOL but it doesn't fall off.

I thought you could just go straight to the size 2 as if you folded the front down or something like that it would work for a newborn . Am I thinking of the wrong nappy??

I just had a look at their website and you can use birth-toddler for the fluffle and also the snappi fastner way.

I'm sure there would be sizing info on the cleverpants website. Anyway, I chose to go with both size 1 and 2 Tots because I dislike extra bulk. Size 1's fitted DS for approx 3-4 months before he was too chubby for them and we needed to move up to size 2's. The new bamboo and flufflies are much trimmer than the originals so maybe the size 2's would still be trim??? That said, I've still chosen to buy some size 1 Bamboozles for #2 because I've found that by the time DS got around 6 months, I preferred pocket nappies anyway so the size 2's actually got less use than the size 1's.

I just got the weight range sizing from Nurture Nappies-
1 (3.5-8 kg)
2 (8-18 kg)
3 (18 + kg)
...with bamboo, it's trim enough to use the Size 2 as a birth to potty nappy by folding the front dwon; which is especially handy for front weeing little boys!!
