DD is 8 months old and I've been using cloth on her since she was 3 months old. Right now I use an American brand called fuzzibunz. I got them cause I didn't know about hub bub and went to an American site and asked and everyone loved Fuzzi Bunz (www.fuzzibunz.com)
I tried a mother ease AIO nappy first (Canadian brand) and hated it! It just looked ridiculous on DD, it completely drowned her.
Anyway I then found peapods and they looked really similar to the fuzzibunz that I use now, only they work out much cheaper. There is even a stockist near me so figured when we needed more nappies we'd go that route but I have read a lot of you saying you don't really like them.
DD is just over 7kg now and is 68cm tall. I prefer fitted pockets cause she is so small. The problem I'm having with Fuzzi Bunz now is that I need to change her in the middle of the night cause otherwise she wakes up wet. Now they last 10 hours, so that's pretty good, but DD sleeps 12-13 hours and they used to last that long but now she's a bigger girl with bigger wee's and they just end up soaked.

So what is the best fitted pocket nappy that goes for a reasonable price and the best night time nappy too?

Just wanted to add I absolutely love the fuzzi bunz but wanted to switch to an Aussie nappy when we need to

Its not a pocket nappy, but a fitted one:

They are great!

Maybe Greens? :o

The pea pods are just like the fuzzi bunz, except the closure can't really cross over. I have had less leaks in the pea pods than fuzzi bunz. I still wouldn't use pea pods overnight though. You will definately get best value and performance from Greens. http://www.greennappies.com/ They cost a bit more but are worth every cent.

Thanks...so many people on here seem to love the Green's nappies. What's the difference between the medium hemp and the large hemp though?

Also it says that I'd need 19 nappies (if I went all Greens) to wash every 2 days. I have 13 fuzzi bunz and wash every 2 days and I just have enough (now I'm changing through the night I have no spares and they need to be dried by morning), would I really need 19? That seems like an awful lot of nappies and a lot of money that we don't really have too.

How long do the green's last overnight too? Could I get 12-13 hours out of them or would I need to change DD still?

They're not pockets, but I use Bamboo overnight, Tots Bots or Baby Beehinds. I find the bamboo is really good for overnights because it's 400% more absorbent than cotton so it last all night. Have you been to http://www.ozebaby.com.au I see Green Kids have their gingham range on there now

Yep, have to agree with that one

You would need the same amount that you have with the Fuzzi Bunz now. You would also definately get all night out of them. The fit is excellent on every baby I know with the Greens, unlike some other brands. If you are handy you can also cut costs by buying your own fabric and making your own inserts. I can make 10 microfibre inserts myself for $8, rather than paying $5 or $6 per insert.
You could also keep using you Fuzzi Bunz during the day and just have the Greens for a bit of extra security over night or for long periods during the day.:)

I use fuzzi bunz through the day (LOVE them) and baby beehinds at night, they're the only ones that last my DD overnight! They're brilliant!

Charmaine which DD are you using Fuzzi Bunz on? Your new born or your one year old? Just curious cause I'm wondering if DD needs to go to the bigger size in fuzzi bunz just so they can handle her bigger wee's. She could go to the medium's, size wise.

I'm thinking Green's nappies for overnight (I just really don't want to deal with covers), and then going up a size in fuzzi bunz to see if they last longer (DD is a huge wetter in the morning and I need to change her every 1 1/2 hours and then she goes 3-4 hours after that between changes. Or maybe even trying peapods for day time use.

hmm anyone want a mother ease with hemp insert and cover (washed once but never been used) in exchange of a peapods so I could try one without buying?

I love using cloth but hate all this testing out stuff first, especially when we're on a tight budget! We can afford to get what will wok best but can't afford to try out upteen different types!

I have a fuzzi bunz petite toddler with two inserts if you want it cheap. It's hardly used.

Thanks happy lady but it would be too big for DD..she's only 7kg at 8 months old and the petite toddler starts at 9kg. Even in the smalls she still has it done up the tightest around her waist.

You could try a premium fleece MissyMoo Pocket nappy.
They are sold on www.ozebaby.com.au as well as her website.
I use these for my 8 month old (have been using them for a few months now).
I also have her standard fleece ones too and they are brilliant.
