question about walking???

My dd has just started to take her first steps. She can do around 6 to 7 steps before falling on her bum. I was wondering how long until she will be actually walking.

So my question is how long was it from the time your baby took first steps till the time where they could actually walk???

my ds took about 2 or 3 weeks before he was walking without landing on his bum lol
but each bub is different :) he is now 15 months and is learning how to run lol
he started walking at 10 months.

my bub walked at 13.5 months - once he started, he didn't stop...so he never really took a few steps and then stopped.

It wasn't long at all from those first few steps....I think about a week or two and she was fully walking around.

Yep Nath was the same but he was 14mths

Not very long at all. It only took Em a few weeks to find her feet and she was off! Not walking but RUNNING!!! Ohhhh you have fun days ahead!!!:yes:

My DD took her first steps at 10mths and was properly walking at about 12months. She is now 16mths and basically running the crazy little animal :smiliedance:

Thanks for the replies. She still is only taking a few steps, I think it might take her a bit to acually walk as she's not really interested, she just wants to crawl as she a quick crawler (she crawled at 5.5mth) and it gets her round faster than trying to walk. Oh well she'll do it when she's ready.
