My stash consists of terries and soakers i knitted myself.
I am interested in the amazing world of modern cloth.
There is so much out there - I have no idea where to start.

OOh well I have just completed my collection!! (just waiting on fluffy mail)

I mostly have green kids which I love. I've got 11 anytimes & 3 fun times. I really like the Gingham ones for showing off!! :D

I also have 1 peace pockets which is really cute (my fav show off one. Its pink with hearts on it. Very cute!

And 2 Sandras stuffables which are yet to arrive!! (but they look cute!!)
Oh & 1 peapods which I dont like.

I love the pocket nappies & how easy they are to use!! Plus they look super gorg!! :thumbsup:

Well HL, I hardly rate to join this thread, as I'm still awaiting delivery of my very first cloth nappy and haven't even used it yet - but I've ordered a baby beehinds bamboo nappy and a cover.

But, I will be watching this thread very closely! :detective:

about 15 green nappies (mixture of anytimes and funtimes)
five greens nighttime nappies (fleece)
I have three kids in cloth nappies (need a cover)
one fruit salad nappy
two bummis (frogs of course)
one honeyboy (I DESPERATELY want more .. that is where my next batch of nappy money is going)
about 20 - 30 terry flats (which I rarely use .. but are handing for a huge number of purposes!!)

What's your favourite night nappy?
either the honey boy (which is impressively leak proof) - or the greens nighttime nappy (used ot make them .. called dreamytimes... I love them)

Do you have a favourite show off nappy?
umm yes.. all my greens funtimes... cause I have some REALLY lovely patterns ..

What's down the bottom of your stash and what's up the top?
hmm top - greens (for everyday) - honeyboy for when I know I wont get to change him for awhile ...

bottom .. definately the fruit salad.. just not my type of nappy ... (and the kids in cloth.. cause they require a cover... )

Greens funtimes, MJ has a Care Bear & a Starfish one. We use them everytime we go out, so easy & convenient

What's down the bottom of your stash and what's up the top?
BOTTOM - the homemade ones, too much work involved, i have to use inserts & covers :thumbsdown:

TOP - the terry flats, i use them every day, with either pvc or fluffy covers. I dont think folding them is such a big deal, takes me no more than 5 minutes to do the lot.

What do you want more of?

I used to think just like you Mel, but have since sold all my fitteds and now have all pockets. I like them as they are so trim, I can boost them as much as I like and they don't need a cover. :D

Bottom- motherease and fuzzi buns. Don't use the nic naps much casue they take ages to dry.

Like to try- Greens, keep meaning to try them.

I think i am at the stage where i need to decide whether to use fitteds or pockets exclusively because it is too confusing sometimes (DH is always getting confused, putting covers over AIO's:banghead: ).

Hey Leisha- the nappies are on ebay, i better not put the link but search for 'AIO small' they are a small, don't fit fatty boombah around the belly anymore.

Remember that good quality nappies are easy to re-sell so if you try some and they dont work for you then you can at least get some of the meney back.

Firstly, I have a real mixed bunch that I have collected over the last 8 months, aside from the terries that I already had.

What have you got?
Probably about 15 terry squares which I use in various ways. Either as a folded nappy within pilchers (of which I have a mixed bunch) or I stuff them in a pocket. I have 2 eenies, 2 little lambs with inserts, 3 snuggle-tots, 8 home-made flannel fitted's, 6 fluffies (blah-don't like them though), 1 pul pocket (no idea on brand), 2 New England hemps (just bought on ebay), 6-8 CUTY/target pilchers, 2 pilchers that I made :yelclap: out of rainbow-dyed polar fleece, a whole bunch of micro-fleece liners, a few hemp inserts and the piece de resistance, 2 Baby Beehinds (1 Bamboo, 1 hemp) and a wool cover. I also have a few that are still too big but can't remember exactly. I know there is one from Cheeky Butts as I had so much trouble with them.

What's your favourite night nappy?
Definately the Bamboo Baby Beehinds and it's wool cover.

Do you have a favourite show off nappy?
I am partial to my home-made pilchers. I cut the material to show a splattered rainbow tye-dye pattern. I'm sure though if I get a chance, I will show off my Beehinds!

The bottom definately contains the fluffies fitted's. The top would be the Beehinds and Little Lambs.

Hi - what amazing collections some of you have!

I've only been using cloth for a couple of weeks now and am using Eenies with their microfibre nappy - I have 3 pairs of the pants and 12 nappies. I'm using pieces of polar fleece cut to size as liners. Never had a leak and washing and drying are a breeze.:thumbsup:

Today I ordered some Peapods and a Bumgeniuses from the Wee Wuns so am looking forward to trying them before I invest. :yelclap:

So far the eenies have been a really cheap and easy way to start using cloth but I fear the addiction may be creeping in on me!! :p

Thanks for all your tips, advice and know-how so far - its been invaluable in opening up the world of modern cloth!:)

Well I just thought i'd pop in because I am so looking forward to building up my stash, as I have only just started.
So far I only have 6 peapods of which I think are good but going by the other peapod users, I am yet to discover there are better brands out there. Since these are my first attempt of going "cloth", I find them to do the job but I'm sure once I start using BB and Greenies the peapods will be at the bottom of my pile.
I had Preston in the peapod last night and worried that it would leak by the time he woke up 4 hours later but it hadn't leaked and was fine. I had a hemp and a microfbre in the pocket and seemed to do the trick even though Preston is such a big wetter. I only paid $12 for the peapods (I originally bought 10 at expo which is why $12 not $15 but they messed up my order and ended up with 6 at the cheaper price plus 5 free fibre fillers for the trouble so not bad) plus 6 hemp fllers that come with the nappy so I don't think I've wasted money and they are fine for during the day at home. They are size small, so ideal for the next baby while Preston wears the better brands. So for those of you that can't afford the expensive brands, i'd reccomend the peapods as they are much cheaper. Not sure I'd use them on a bigger child, small size would be all I'd buy.
I'm just waiting for the greenies to re-stock the nice colours and then I'll be ordering them :D can't wait.

May also try bamboo bb but not so keen on also needing a cover, does that make it a bulky nappy? Have oredered 5 bamboo boosters and use flat terry nappies for other things not as a nappy.

Generally I use the Missy Moo Premium Fleece Pockets stuffed with Hemparoo and Microfibre. Lasts for 12 hours no problems :thumbsup:

Definitely the Candy Pink and Lime Green Cuddlebuns Velour it is so lush.


What's down the bottom of your stash and what's up the top?
I am a little odd (no suprises there for those who know me) but I tend to have days when I use fitteds mainly and then other days I have days when I use only pockets.

On a fitted Day I generally start off with the Baby Beehind Bamboo (its proberly the most absorbant and after that big morning feed then sleep its good to have the extra absorbancy)

The Pocket nappies I have are all great but I tend to favour the Missy Moo ones as they have some pretty funky prints compared to the Greens ones I have (they are cheaper too :D ).

On the bottom is the Home made Pocket that I got off ebay....needless to say that one is at the bottom of my stash and I will only buy from recommended WAHM's now. I use it in emergency only

Everything and anything, especially if it has great print and is functional.

It the only thing that I said I would do differently for this baby and its my little way of preparing for his arrival. So everyone has said to me get a few different ones to try and then make the choice thats right for you and since I can't decide I'm pretty sure that we will always use a mixture of systems to get our right balance.

I have had her do custom orders for me, but I am not sure if she is doing them at the moment. Contact her anyway she is very helpful.

I have some of her inserts they are smaller than the Greens Hemparoos but larger than the BB boosters. I stuff mine with Greens Hemparoos and they fit perfectly.

For showing off to cloth naysaying family it would be one of Lesley's Honey Boys. That's why I need so many nappies LOL

He actually put a ban on buying anymore nappies for DS a few months ago and doesn't know about the newborn ones I've got ordered for #2. Well, they're not for DS....

Bottom: Pea-pods - they don't rock!:thumbsdown: I understand they use to be made in Aus, and they were really awesome then, but now they are made offshore and I think the quality has dropped. I use twice the recommended stuffing, and still have leaks all over the place.

Cuddlebuns dinosoar print with red velour OR any Very Baby/Erica's OR GreenKids Thomas print. No favourite!

Bottom - ebay naps
Top - bamboo anything and Pea Pods for ease (hubby)

What do you want more of?
Probably baby beehinds bamboo. I really like the idea of having only 1 or 2 of each nappy. Makes it more interesting. Also each nappy has its pros!

And finally what would you like to try?
Very Baby Simply Nights first and foremost. Other than that anything esp if its made with bamboo! I would also like someone else to knit for my bub! A crochet pair of longies would rock!

VBSN with a super bambooster and wool soaker, no matter how heavy a wetter a child is they aren't going to out wee that combo. But desperately waiting for my GNST from bubblebubs *drools*

bubblebubs for sure! I love the embroidery, sadly the cuddlebuns need covers so don't get shown off enough =p

top cuddlebuns - simply can not be beaten, utterly beautiful and wonderful fit.

bottom peapods. simply can't think of anything nice to say of them at all.

What do you want more of?
cuddlebuns!! I have honeyboys coming and more bubblebubs but I would kiss the dirtiest part of the ground for more cuddlebuns!

BabyBeehinds make hemp and bamboo. They have some great colours in the bamboo. For night we use a wool cover.

I find that I can really use any nappy as a night nappy, as long as a put an extra booster in it. Also, I use a fleece cover at night which helps a lot.

I see that the Bb's site has a 4 week waiting period for shipping, does anyone else sell thier wool covers??
