I dont understand how to use the online calculator and trying to work out for a friend how much she will get from centrelink taking her employment income into account. She is a single parent to 1 child.

Before tax, her income will be $834.60 per fortnight. How much PPS and FTB will she get? She just needs to do a budget up to see if its worth it as she will have to use daycare. She doesn't get child support nor rent assisstance.

Any help would be great. Thanks

Fortnightly estimate

Parenting Payment - Single $306.99

Family Tax Benefit Part A $156.94
Family Tax Benefit Part B $133.56

Employment income $835.00

Deemed Income $0.38

Gross total estimate $1432.87

Estimated taxation liability $138.60 or 17%

Net total estimate $1294.27

100.00% for 1 child in approved other child care.

That's what I got - but it's hard to complete the forms without all her financial information. With her wages included and after tax she would probably get about $1294 a fortnight.

Hope that helps.

Employment income after tax - $754

Single Parenting Payment - $307.54

Family Tax Benefit A & B - $290.50

Child Care Rebate etc - 100%

So per fortnight she should be receiving with employment income - $1352 approx.
