Help!

I have had a cold the last week, and im noticing today that my milk is alil less. is this possible>? can a cold reduce your milk supply. what can i do so this doesnt happen?
im still feeding my 6 week old, but she also is congested and maybe isnt having as much!
help i dont want to loose my supply!

Did you take any over the counter medication for it? Cold and flu tablets dry up your milk just the same way they dry up your nose.

The few times I have been sick I did notice a drop in supply but after a few days it was back up again. Just BF more and it will come back. The good thing is that our bodies make milk according to demand, so even if your supply is temporarily reduced, a few days of more frequent feeding is all that is needed to bring it back up.

I would give bub some saline spray and feed more frequent so it's easier for her to feed Hth
and drink lots of fluid

thanks - no i havent been taking any medication for it - i will try feeding her more often and hope my milk picks up!
