I am looking after a baby this weekend and I have a question that I forgot to ask when they got dropped off.
I have been left with bottles made up with formula, and these I have put in the fridge.
What about the bottles with just water in them? do they need to go in the fridge too?

Yep I would put the bottles in the fridge too, pre-made bottles can only be kept for 24 hours.
If the bottles only have water in them and no powder added, these can be left on the bench and dont have to go in the fridge. As long as the bottles have been sterilized, the water boiled and they are capped properly they are are sterile environment for 24hrs. If the bottles of water go in the fridge, you'll have to bring them back to at least room temp before adding the powder (generally the formula won't reconstitute properly in fridge cold water). Room temp water is best for making up formula and that way you don't have to heat up the bottle (if the bub takes it room temp, of course).

The ones with water can stay on the bench as you have done.
