I was at my friends house yesterday (hey leisha :) ) and i seen she had a PEAPOD. I liked the look of it, but i havent used any 'new' types of clothies yet and just would like to do my research on all thats out there. So i was wondering if anyone is using these nappies and how well they work?
If you have any information on them at all that you'd like to share, it would be great!!
Thanks Tanni :detective:
I hvae heard a huge range of feedback on these nappies- so I'm glad you started this thread!!! it will be an interesting read ,....
some people adore peapods... but others actually report that they leak ...
if you DO purchase some .. remember that hemp MUST be washed at least three times before it becomes properly absorbant.
I hope you receive lots of feedback!!

Howdy,
I bought a couple to give them a shot and have really liked them! This morning was my first ever leak and have been using them for a couple of weeks. I particularly loved the price. I'm only new at cloth and getting together my stash so they are great to get me going. I was originally using Eenees, but these work soo much better on DS. (Oscar's mum - I might have some Eenees for you soon if you still want some? )
In saying that though I haven't compared them to Green Kids (they will be arriving tomorrow yeah! :yelclap: ).
I think from reading other threads that they are a large make so probably go for a bit smaller than you normally would. DS would have easily fit into the large size, but I opted for medium and they fit well.
They even do a night time (11 hours) without leaks which is heaps better than my disposables used to do. In saying that though I use a night time hemp prefold (not the Peapod prefold) that I bought from the Weewuns and a microfibre booster.
All in all I would give them a thumbs up  . Especially to get your supply going. And I just love seeing my disposable use going down every week!!! (not to mention the disappearance of DS' nappy rash - oh I could just go on raving about cloth but I'll stop here!):ecomcity:
They are a good nappy but are close to the bottom of my stash. I haven't had them leak at all since Millie has really grown into them properly. Initially they were a bit on the big size but now they are great. Be warned they are a big sizing. I would recommend to just get a couple to try and see how you like them.

I ordered some today so I'm curious about what others think of them too. I'm still working out what works best and I've been using Eenies during the day and disposables at night so I'm hoping with the right combo of nappy and booster I'll be able to use the peapods at night instead.
Another step towards total cloth domination!
Good luck with the research! Every bum is different and I suppose that's why they are great for some and not so for others! Here's hoping that at $15 each they are a good investment for us....:fingerscrossed:
