What do you think???? 3 white lines??? Gender? Girl?

Hello everyone :)

I had a 17 week ultrasound and another one at 20 weeks, both times we were told we are having a little girl. I am now 35 weeks along and had a friend say to me whilst looking at all of our pink items that we better hope they were right and telling me stories of ppl being told wrong!!

The first scan we had at early image and they said bub had her legs right open and they both said girl straight away. The second was the morphology scan were when i asked the dr he said its a girl.

This pic was taken at 17 weeks with the 3 white lines meaning its a girl??? what do you all think???

I had three scans - all done by different people and all said definetly a girl.

I had a boy :laughing:

I think they are usually right but some make mistakes.

I had all pink stuff as well - didn't even have a white singlet :laughing:

My advice is just pack at least one unisex outfit in your hospital bag - just in case.

I dont see any lines lol.

Bu does it matter if a boy wears pink??
I wouldnt worry about what clothes you have!!
Just be prepared mentally for either sex :)

They CAN sometimes be wrong, but these days is much rarer than it used to be. If they are unsure they usually won't say either way.

Try not to worry - if they are wrong, you'll just have some fun baby clothes shopping to do!

I've had 3 girls but I couldn't see anything on your scan pic that looked like the 3 white lines on my scans.
I'm not saying they're not there, just that I can't see them lol.

hope i dont add more confusion,,,,

My first pregnancy they could clearly see the 3 lines, and said girl....and it was.

This pregnancy the radiographer said he could bsee the 3 lines again at my 19 week US, and so it was a girl..... happened to have anoither scan at 26 week, and we could see all the boy bits!!!!

Having another scan this friday which wil confirm for sure.

I dont think theres anything definite until you look between those legs! LOL

I was told I was having a girl, and had a girl :) The lady performing the ultrasound pointed out the 3 white lines and said, "Yep, it's a girl." When I asked if she was sure she said they're not allowed to tell people either way unless they're a hundred percent sure.

I dont see the lines either, I see 3 dots but not the lines you normally see.

Thanks for all of your replies! That's what i thought too, I can only see the dots! Am thinking of having a 4d ultrasound this weekend as I spoke with Early Image today who said they could do this and also confirm the gender for us! any opinions on this?

I think it's a girl, it's just the angle the shot is on. If it were a boy the middle "dot" would be sticking up more, like a turtle head and shell.

We couldn't get anything at all from the standard scans - little miss had her legs crossed... as compared to my DS who had and has no modesty and flashed us all. Charmer.
I had a 3D/4D scan at 27 weeks I think it was, which showed us VERY clearly that we were having a little girl.
We were 100% sure we were having a little girl and shopped happily for pinks and purples :goodvibes:

i have a lil girl and there were 3 white lines which indicated girl,i wouldnt stress they rarely get it wrong these days,the machines used to do us are pretty acurate and these people are trained and know what to look for they do it all day so you mot likely having a girl :)

I had a scan at 19 weeks and we were told we were having a girl. The sonographer really honed in on the 3 lines and they were pretty obvious - like 3 thickish white lines about the same length and all in a row. A week later my OB did a quick ultrasound and confirmed that he couldn't see any boy bits :).

I had a 4d scan at 28wks and we double checked it was a boy and in those scans this is no denying it

I don't think you can really tell from that pic. Having a 4D scan will definibits you need. In your scan pic you put up I think it could look like either, yes there are three dots bit in that area it also looks like it sticks out a little. In my scan shots the 3 white lines are clearly visible, from both my 18 wk and 21 wks scans. When I had my scan the boy bits weren't very noticeable at 18 wks, but a scan at 21 weeks showed them there clear as day.

Here is a pic from my 19 week scan. Its a boy! You see three dots but more defined than your pic.
I have three girls aswell and there pics all were 3 white LINES. not dots. so i would def be having another scan before you rush out and buying all pink :-)
