Hi guys!
I moved to Geelong last year when I was pregnant with my darling boy, who is now 8 months old, the problem is that I haven't managed to make any mummy friends yet :(
I'm 21 and a stay at home mum, although I do study from home too so if you're interested I'd love to get to know you and maybe even catch up properly.
hey, just wanted to say welcome to Geelong. I don't know why anyone would chose to live here .
I hope you can find some friends. life is too hectic for me at the moment (I'm at uni and i should be working now :D). Have you tried joining a mum's group?
hi iam from geelong i have a 2.5mth old he is our first so iam still learning all this parenting stuff but have found bubhub has been great being able to talk with other girls at are going through the same as me..
i start mothers group ina few weeks so really looking forward to that. did you do a mothers group when you had bub?

Owen and Noahs Mum- I wouldn't say we exactly chose it lol it was kind of our last resort, but now my partner has started an apprenticeship so we are stuck here to some extent, at least for a few more years.
I thought about joining a mums group, but honestly I've spent so much time by myself since Archer was born that the thought of putting myself out there scares me... I know its no good for me, but every time I try to speak to anybody I just get really anxious. I might look into it though because the longer I let it go the harder it will be lol just another thing for me to work on I guess
Donza28: I am in Geelong West, and congrats on bubs arrival :) I really am starting to wish I had joined a mums group now, it really seems to be the way to go! oh well silly me I guess
Kayla Lilyz Mum: Congratulations :D I bet your daughter is excited about getting to be your big helper lol
Also do you ladies have any recommendations for a good park? Just somewhere with a bit of soft grass lol I haven't been able to find anywhere good.
Thanks for saying hi :goodvibes: nice to know I'm not alone!

i really like Sparrow park in Geelong West, my friends and i used to spend alot of time there. I lived in Geelong West for a long time and loved it there, its so close to everything! I'm in Bell Post Hill atm.
I'm looking for some new friends with kids, so maybe we could meet up some time AllieandPeanut?

I live in Grovedale, behind the Waurn Ponds shops. Normally its really quiet here and we dont have anything bad happening so it was a bit of a surprise.
I love sparrow Park, we take the kids there sometimes but we find that it can get a bit crowded with mums and babies
AllieandPeanut: I hope you guys can settle in well, i can understand not wanting to get out and about. i tried a few mothers groups when i had Owen but i found that all the mums were much older than me and had no interest in talking to me...but that was mostly in the Newtown areas. Things might have improved by now though

Yeah that was one of my main concerns with the mums group thing, I thought they would all ignore me lol
I would love to meet up with some new friends :yelclap: this is exactly what I need!
MumtoJordan and Kayla and Lilyz Mum maybe we should start our own mini mums group lol I think Archer could do with some socialising too
have you lived here long mum to jordan? its so quiet down here compared to melbourne...
except for this morning, I can hear Pako Festa already lol

nearly 4 years now. I was from central Vic before that, so Geelong is very busy to me lol!

Yeah lol I guess it just depends on where you have come from. Its not that bad down here really, I miss the city some days but I guess it will be better once DP and I finish saving for our car and I can go exploring down the coast. We never really needed a car in Melbourne so neither of us bothered with it. In hindsight it would've saved us lots trouble now lol Shouldn't be too long though :) saving isn't really my strong point but I really didn't want to take out a loan for my first car.
That sounds silly, my first car haha oh well I guess everyone does it differently
