Need help with cover letter for job as teachers aide

Can someone help me as I suck at writing these things but this job would be perfect.

The add just says I have to write a cover letter detailing my understanding of the role of a teachers aide.

It also asks for 2 references - I have one from looking after children but the others are just crappy jobs - cleaning, cooking etc - should I add one of these or just get a personal reference to add??


Please help me - have to have the application in by the end of the week.

I wish to apply for the position of teachers aid at ....


My understanding of this role is assisting teachers with the daily running of the classroom. This includes, interacting with parents and children and following direction from teachers as necessary.

My previous experience includes.... ( I would talk about the ability to work as a team, working under pressure, equal oportunity laws, interpersonal skills and experience with children here.) keep it short and concise so that the interviewers can skim read and see that you can meet their requirements.

Any more ideas would be great - especially if you are a teachers aide :D
