DD turned 1 last week, and spot-on her birthday, she has drastically reduced the amount of milk she drinks.

She used to have 2 bottles a day...one when she woke up, and one before bed. They were 250mL and 300mL respectively. She was on Step 2 formula.

Now, I'm lucky if she has 100mL each time. I've tried 2 toddler milks, and regular milk...and, while she prefers the S26 Vanilla Toddler Formula (because it's sweet I presume), she still doesn't drink much of it.

Is this a natural SLUMP or what?

Ahhhh...it's so worrying being a mother...lol.

Maybe it's a good idea to start introducing a non spill cup.. that might draw her attention to it. It is quiet normal for them to start decreasing the amount of formula they have. Aslong as she eats cheese and yoghurts ect aswell as a balanced diet you have absolutly nothing to worry about. :hugs:

Goodluck :fingerscrossed:

since he was about 13mths old my DS has only had 1 bottle a day of 200ml at bedtime and drinks no other milk during the day (i give him heinz nurture formula for toddlers) just yoghurt and cheese and drinks about 2 cups of water he is now 19mths old and still the same, its fine i think so long as they have other fluids and sources of calcium

my Ds has just turned 11 months and is exactly the same....infact worse. He will only drink 30 - 40mls in the morning and the same before bed. I have to make up a huge bowl of cereal for him for breaky to get a decent amount of milk into him.

Sippy cup is a great idea.Just started this and for the first time today he drank 100mls from it. Bubs has been terrible with his milk since he was born ( breast and bottle ) but you just have to work around it and trick him by sneaking it into other dishes.

All the best.
