DS is 5 months and has been on nexium for his reflux for about 9 weeks now. He was originally prescribed it by the Royal Children's Hospital. His dosage is 7.5mls. We were told that when he hits 10kg his dosage will need to increase. For the past couple of weeks he has been very irritable with interrupted sleep and just not happy. He has just hit 10kgs. Is anyone else giving their bub nexium and if so what dosage are you on? I have a dr's appointment and will find out but I'm just curious.

My DS2 started on nexium, 10mg twice a day at 4 weeks. I would definitely see about an increase, go to a paed if a GP won't ok it.

Thanks mummyjac. Our GP has upped the dosage to 10mg once a day. We are seeing a paediatrician next week for a second opinion. Gosh reflux is a horrible, horrible condition. Hate it!

I totally agree:yelclap:. Hope you have luck with the paed, they will usually prescribe the bigger doses.
