Hi am a new member (joined yesterday or day before, oh who knows!) from Kareela in Sydney's south (The Shire - god's country) and I have two boys, Ethan 2.5 and Lachlan 16 months (yes they are only 15months apart, not planned that way - took five years to fall pregnant with number 1, then as my husband puts it "30 seconds" with number 2 - and we wouldn't have it any other way, they are gorgeous).
Have been a bit housebound with two sick kids, so I would say this website discovery has been a bit of a lifesaver!
Would love to hear from anyone!

Although I now live in QLD I use to live in "The shire" at Como. I have two kids Jacinta 3 1/2 ( born Sutherland hospital) and Nathan 9mths (born QLD). We may live in QLD but that doesn't make us queenslanders we are still big Sharks fans.

I had to put "The Shire" in my intro (although some people like to pay out the term).
Sunny Queensland - you lucky thing! We are going on holidays to QLD in Oct, I can't wait for some warm weather! How are you finding living up north? I hear its great for young families (Sydney prices these days are a joke).
We have just returned home from Gymbaroo, so the kids are asleep and I have a spare 5 minutes.

Hi Mel,

Thanks for replying, do you always get the "why" question with the age difference of your girls? (or what were you thinking - just have to laugh it off!). I'll admit it has been hard (especially when number 2 was newborn), but as they are getting older they are playing together and are great mates.
My in laws have a holiday house at Culburra, love that part of the world, so quiet and laid back.
Don't know how this all works, do I give out my email to chat?

Life in sunny QLD is good, 25 and sunny today. Both my kids are asleep too :D Had playgroup this morning so that always wears them out.
We moved from sydney becouse we knew we would never be able to afford a house and have me stay home. Our house we bought 18mths ago for $172,000!

I always get asked what were you thinking? With my two they weren't planned at all. I was booked in for a DNC when i found out i was preggie with Abby, i nearly died in shock. My two are becoming really good friends, when they want to be. I think when they grow up they will, well hope so anyway. I have a very close bond with my sister but she is 4 years older, but we had our times though.

LEISHA - Your DS must be the most wonderful child, he has the same birthday as me!! lol
Lookout though, Aries are very determined and strong minded. My mother always said to me when I first got married, I hope you have an aries child so you know what I went through and she got her wish, my DS#2 is just that and he is also a beautiful sensitive soul!!!!!!!!
Must be so nice to have babies at the same time as your sis, my younger sis and I are also 4 years apart and very close, but she only got married a couple of months ago, so no sign of babies yet.

PS - we didn't plan to have our two so close either and i was in shock for about a month, mainly because it took so long for us to conceive DS#1 (5yrs), but we wouldnt have it any other way!
