Hi every1,

Well as you no i havnt been on bub hub 4 a few years now,
Lots has happened good and bad like us all....
but hey.... Im bak!! lol :yelclap:

But as of right now I have a dilema!!!!
I need opionions and lots off them!!!

ok so LOOONNNGGG story short..... (well as short as a kristal story lol)

I currently am living in coffs harbour, i moved back here nearly 3 yrs ago to b close to my family etc and to re build my life from brisbane.

now I find myself lost.. there is no work here for me, just study options. I am a 29 yr old single mum 2 an 8yr old son, and to b honest im done with having no money! :hair: i scratch to meet week 2 week.

I feel like im the only mum that never gets to take her child 2 water parks or the movies etc.

So I have been for the past few weeks looking at rentals in sydney. I look at sydney as a job opportunity and well i guess alot more options of life down there for me and my son. But i am also worried about the big move... Im worried if it is a "good move" or am i taking a step back...... or is it just a "bad move" altogether.. is it a place to raise my son??.... is it going to b a good place to move 2??? ....... is it just cause i like a change??? ahhh im sooooo confused and lost!!!!

But after long and hard searches I came across a unit in darling harbour owned privately and well loved it. but only seen it via realestate.com and well its safe on the fourth floor etc. (im a scaredy cat )

As for rent and expenses I currently pay $200 rent +elec + water + austar + internet...
and the unit in Syd is $250 a week and inclusive of all the above.
I have since emailed the owner as it is a private rental asking why it is so cheap being the loaction and all and my reply was she needed it rented out fast and she has a well payed job. ...... ?????.....

But now its crunch time...... do i put my 2 weeks notice in on my house now and take the plunge into a fully furnished unit in sydney darling harbour...... or am i kidding myself and need 2 stay in coffs..and stay stable for a few more years....and well where my son is well comfortable at school and already has friends...

To add 2 my life my mum and i are not talking due 2 a falling out.. its been a month now... and she is my world...... so at this point i have noone around me... noone i can well trust really or depend on....

But this is not a reason of me moving... its just another hurdle.....

Please help me... .:hissy:
and im sorry for the longest story in the world but.... i have noone else to turn too....

I hope to hear from you.. even just one of you wonderful people with an oppioion would b a bleesing....

Kristal and jordan xx

I think there will be a lot more job opportunities for you in Sydney, though the cost of living is quite high.
The apartment you have found sounds like a dream come true, but if it doesn't work out do you think that you'd be able to find a place elsewhere for that price or the price you are currently paying? I mean, you have a place now that sounds quite reasonable, are you willing to give that up on a chance?

I'm not trying to talk you out of it, I just think these are the questions you need to be asking yourself.

Also, look on job sites like mycareer or seek to see how many jobs are going in your field of work before you make the decision.

Hi Kristal,

I live in Sydney and it can be pricey here. We don't rent, but know many that do. The place you mentioned sounds awesome though, as for food and so on, there are cheaper areas to shop in, like marrickville and campsie, they are a little further out, but much much cheaper.

There is also more work opportunity here, but as the above poster said, maybe you could look for a job first before you move.

Moving is really up to you, it depends where you want to go in life really. If you have a dream, you should follow it and aim to reach it no matter what anyone tells you. :)
