I'm trying to work out how to manage my ds's clothes now that he's at childcare 2 days a week. I don't want to label everything as there are plenty of clothes he has that are not suitable for childcare.

What do you do? Do you label a selection of clothes and then keep them separate somehow? Or do you label everything?

I'm getting sick of writing his name on the clothes tag's on the morning of childcare.

I bought a dymo label maker, they have the fabric rolls that iron on. Best money I have spent in ages!! HTH

DD's got a pile of clothes that are her daycare/round the house clothes so she only wears them at daycare or if we're
outside getting messy ect.
I brought a whole heap of labels from 'stuck on you' and only label her daycare clothes.

I had a similar conversation with DP this arvo - I have decided to pick out three outfits each and label those and they will get rotated as the KINDY outfits (they need two spare outfits packed)
will be like a uniform?

Thats what I did.

All her clothes are in the same draw but I just put her name on her Preschool clothes.

My daughter has special daycare clothes - they are completly different to what she normally wears and were really cheap (best and less sales - averaged $3 per peice of clothing) so doesn't matter if they are ruined. I have 4 full sets (just a shirt and shorts) - couple of the shirts have little paint marks on them but there is no point buying new as they would soon be covered in paint as well. She also has her daycare shoes - which are just cheap sandals I buy at crazy clarks - that way there is no major stress if they are taken home by someone else.

I separated out the clothes that I thought she could wear to daycare (she only went one half-day a week, though) and labelled those. But she only went to daycare for a few months.

I label clothes as I use them for daycare. I started out iron on labels using my label making machine but that got annoying after awhile. I found a good old fine point permanent marker much easier. After awhile you get a stack of 'daycare clothes' happening and as I come across anything new I just quickly write her name on it.
