My DS is 4 months old and I've gone from making his bottles 180ml to 240ml.

He *usually* drank the 180ml bottle, leaving about 20ml on average, but since moving to 240ml, he drinks maybe 60 - 80ml and that's only if we persist.

He's not getting hungry after a feed for 3-4 hours...

Is this normal? should I go back to making up bottles to 180ml?

Hi Porridge

I wouldnt be to concerned if your bub is still putting on weight and appears happy and content.

I found with Bailey that he would change all the time. I would think he was in routine then he would chnage again. Somedays drinking heaps and some days not so much.

Also make sure he has at least 6-8 wet nappies a day, thats an indication that hes not dehydrated(i think).

If your really concerned just see a CHN or your dr/paed but Im sure its normal. Just feed him what he wants.

Good Luck hun!

Thanks Baileys Mum :) I think he's going alright - he even drank all but 40ml of a 240ml bottle! (mind you, he threw up a lot too...)
