I found this headline, thought maybe someone here is interested in knowing about it:

Four-drug strategy reduces repeat miscarriages
An Austrian study found nineteen percent of women given the combination
treatment of prednisone, progesterone, aspirin and folate miscarried in
the first trimester, compared to 63 percent of untreated women

Wow, interesting :detective: I don't know anything about treatments to prevent repeated m/c but those percentages sound good!

So we cant avoid the folate, nor progesterone (naturally increased via vitex) but definitely avoid aspirin and the other... what IS that first one??

Prednisone is a steroid - i have to take it regularly when my asthma is bad but it is used to treat other illnesses.

Could well be true Jacinta. Although I thought they sounded more pro-the treatment than against it, saying that it significantly reduced the rate of miscarriages (which might be why it's used in IVF) I don't know details, that's for sure. My source was the Royal Society of New Zealand Science News headlines. I think they get their headlines from the lastest scientific publications. I guess if it is of interest you could always do a search on the internet and find out the truth of the matter.

Thanks for the heads up :)

There has been so much talk about low dose aspirin that I felt that I should make my own comments and share my story with you all.
So far I have had 4 mc's:-( And each of them as distressing as the first.
But I've had 5 preg's and only one of those I used aspirin!
And yes I feel that because of that I have my beautiful little girl today.
Next preg I will ensure I take it again. I believe in my case that aspirin does make a huge difference especially I feel for women who are recurrent m/c'ers.
