ever want to check on your child when their day nap is longer than normal. DD has been asleep for over 3 hours. I don't want to check and wke her up, but I am slightly paranoid :o

And since it is such a long sleep, she'll be up till late tonight, but it doesn't matter cause I am going to a friend's house and DF is doing daddy duties tonight :raspberry:

I always checkwhen she does that but her door is open, so it rarely wakes her if I tread quielty and avoid the squeaky floorboards :D Have fun tonight!

 even on my 4th child i constantly check i am so paranoid! Bub always sleeps extra when she is teething, she does a 3 hour stint.

Last night and the night before she slept from 7.30 pm till 6 am....I didnt, because she is 2 in 2 weeks and that is like the 4th time in here life she has slept through :(....i hope its the start of new things, and hopefully i can adjust my body clock to not wake up 3 hourly

Yep
Her door stays open so i just poke my head in and wait for signs of life then sneak off. She doesn't wake up.

Her door isn't fully close but it squeaks  and I think she must have needed it. She really wasn't herself at the park this morning and she has been waking up crying a few times the last 3 or 4 nights so I guess she is catching up.

my daughter has been waking up lately. She usually still wakes up once and if she doens't, my body clock wakes up.

DD no longer naps but I still check on her during the night if I get up to do a whizz and if she doesn't wake ME up I get freaked out!

If my DD doesn't wake up from her nap at 2pm, I will wake her up otherwise she takes forever to get to sleep at night and will be up until 11- midnight. I much prefer her to go down tired at 6.30pm so DH and I can spend time together.

Sometimes, but she often breathes so heavily and loudly you can hear her without even entering the room. :p

Hahahaha just this past week I used WD40 on bubby's door hinges and handle so I can peak in and not disturb him! Felt a little mad doing it.

And... being a first time Mum I am forever going in and resting my fingers gently on his chest hahahaha.

Sure do, with a babe who didn't do more than 40 mins until 5 months I always freak when he sleeps for longer than I expect (these days more than 1.5hrs)! BUT he is a super light sleeper and wakes as soon as I go in so I have learnt to fight the checking urge!

And last week I let F sleep until 4.30 because I was going out and DH was going to be in charge for the night. Mean mummy.

I just had this conversation with DH today.
DS usally sleep from 12-2 but today he slept till 3.30 and i was sooo paranoid. I made him go in there and cheak on him and he woke up :laughing:
At least he didnt wake cranky and he will be able to go to bed at his normal time.
