21 days! We abstained for a whole cycle and then pre judged luteal phase right from day 14 onwards every month for 8 months and that's when we knew, my OB was shocked to the core! We now are told every time I conceive by sonographers, midwives, doctors that my dates must be wrong, their not it's just everyone is different

What is an average length and what is considered a long length?

I was just reading on a web site (to work out due dates, which is why i asked) 10-16 days is average, but Kristy i wouldn't be concerned everyone is differrent

O&Bsmum, Mine is anywhere between 11 and 16 days. Mine goes all over the place at the moment. It used to be 14 days before bub #1 and i think that is considered the average.

Where abouts in Tassie are you from? I was born in Tassie and only left when i was 18.

Since coming off the pill mine have been 13 (questionable), 12, 15, 20, and 16

Mine is 13-17 days...

I think 14 days is the 'average' based on a standard 28 day cycle. But we all know how non-existent the 'perfect-cycle' is!

I am confused about the whole luteul phase thing. I have read that it doesn't vary in number of days by only a day or two in each women and that it is not longer than 12 to 16 days. Is that not how it works? I am constantly reading the net looking for info on irregular cycles and long cycles and all I have read says this. So just wondering if it can be longer than 16 days? I am sure that mine was.
Also I read that it doesn't change. Like if yours is 14 days it will always be 14 days?
