My ex-boss rang me on Friday and asked me to go back for 3 weeks to cover holidays. He is desperate, and so has said to bring DS in, choose my own hours etc which is all great.
They are putting me in a tiny office off to the side of the main secretaries' office so that I can look after DS with minimal disruption to the rest of the staff, however, I have a feeling there might be one or two people working in there with me. My main concern is: what do I do with DS? The room is too small to lay him on the floor or a portacot, he can't sit up yet anyway. He does have a little F-P chair that he likes to sit in, but only for a little while at a time. What can I do to:
a) amuse him while I work (there's an aquarium on the F-P chair, but what else? His favourite toy QUACKS for goodness' sake!!!)
b) make him comfortable while I work. It's a legal secretary position so lots of typing & phone work (Not so much of the latter now with bub, but possibly a bit) so I can't really hold him the whole time. if i put him on a rug under the desk, he might be accidently kicked by someone who scoots into my desk, or be difficult to move if he falls asleep or rolls towards the back of the desk.
If I'm being silly please say so and reassure me this will all work.
Thanks.

Or a swing, some cool "soft touch" books that babies can chew.

DD loved her swing when she was younger. Its the fisher price linka doo or whatever one. Comes in two sizes too

Best of luck to you though.

His F-P chair is a bouncer (that's probably a better description thanks!!) but chewy books might be a good idea!! Thanks!
