Hi,
Im not into NO NO foods, everything in moderation unless you have a problem with a certain food.

Although Dairy is implicated in a fair amount of breastfeeding problems so maybe you could look at that, others I am sure you would be aware of are caffine, alcohol, sugar (this is also disguised at carbohydrate).

Caffine was one thing that seemed to effect DD. It seemed to cause a temporary drop in supply as she would be hungry still after a feed, and when i cut out the caffine it was OK again.
Cabbage, onion, garlic & Chilli are all foods that 'might' cause bubs wind/change the taste of milk. I was also told to avoid Acidic foods like tomato when DD was screaming for ours on end with colic.
As Goosie22 said, just eat as you normally would & watch for changes in bubs behaviour, then try eliminating the foods you find don't work well for you.

I think every baby is different. For DD it was any foods with any bit of spice in it (she's 8 months now and I'm slowly bringing these back in my diet with no problems) and muesli (not a problem anymore). Try tracking what you eat for a couple of days and see if you can pin point the problem!

I can't have caffeine, sugar, dairy, or spicy foods... But he was a windy bub and his belly still plays up on him.

I can't even have a row of choc without it affecting him. :crying:

OOPS:eek:
There are nono foods. Well I hope not as I drink caffeine eat chocolate, have lots of garlic in my foods, use Olive Oil to cook with, lots of spices, love eating out at a variety of restaurants (Italian, Lebanese, Greek, Chinese, Thai). Love my milk too.

But I have never noticed anything effects on my babe, he has never suffered from wind (never have had to worry from the beginning), nor thrown up unnecessarily or out of the ordinary so maybe I have bred an all eating boy.

My eating habits havent changed throughout pregnancy and birth (a healthy enough diet) so maybe I will have a boy that will eat anything!

how on earth do you eliminate sugar from diet???

You cant eliminate it all together, but you can make sure you dont ingest it in its purest form. This is done by Low GI diet.

I dont eliminate anything anymore. DD used to get wind with onion (as do I), but appart from that nothing.

I drink about 2 cups tea daily, drink coke, milk, eat chocolate etc :shame:

I cant eat much chocky, to much cauli, or coke....they tend to give Oliver a rash, or wind!

cutting out chocolate and soft drink helped Sam's reflux and sleeping heaps when he was younger. now it doesn't seem to bother him.

Sorry, I meant sugary foods, like choccy, cakes, biscuits, soft drink... All the stuff that helps keep me going through the day

I can't really have any of it - just the occasional slurge for birthdays etc.

I do have sugar in my tea (organic decaf btw ;) ), and have milo, fruit etc.

I'm pretty lucky, it doesn't seem to matter what I eat. Like Goosie said, everything in moderation  I even have the occasional cup of coffee and i don't notice anything weird happening with bubba.
