Any suggestions for some great books for the 18mth-2 year old bracket as I feel we are starting to outgrow some of our existing titles?! Thanks:)

"Are You My Mother" - can't get the author's name at the mo' cause its somewhere in sleeping bubba's room. Basically about a little chick that looks for his mother and asks different animals & machines along the way if they are his mother....they all say no no no - really cute book.

"Going on a Bear Hunt" - again, can't get the authors name....very popular book - lots of pictures and sound words ie "we're going through the long grass, swoosh, swoosh, swoosh"

Some of my 19mth old DS' favourite books include "Who Sank the Boat" by Pamela Allen, " I Wish that I had Duck Feet" by Dr Seuss, "Where's Spot" (lift the flap book) by Eric Hill and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. But get ready to read them over & over & over again!!!
"Are You My Mother" was written by P.D. Eastman.
Hope this helps a little.
Liz.

Andrew is 17 months and just lvoes anything with clear pictures in it - like the 'babys first 100 words' type books. He will sit down with me for ages pointing out pictures and asking for what they are called and trying to repeat it. Endlessly fascinating!
