Hi All
I have just moved to Brisbane (redland shire) from Sydney and can't seem to locate any Early Childhood Health Centres(ECHC). I need to get DS 6-8mth checkup done and need some help with where I go now. In NSW you just go to your local ECHC and the nurses give bub the once over and answer any Q's you may have. Is it the same up here? If so, where are the centres?
Thanks,
Debbie.:)

ergh, i had a list of the centres, but i've lost it!
Otherwise, most chemists have a free CHN available at a certain time... my local one is there on thursday mornings. :) Is this what you mean? I haven't been to one yet (thursday's our first visit) so I'm not sure!

I dont know, maybe. In NSW you get a blue health book for bub and in it, it says you are ment to go for a 1mth, 3mth, 6mth etc checkup - mainly to pickup on developmental issues so you can nip them in the bud if there is something wrong. I thought I saw a red? health book in Qld. Is this the same thing? If it is, then is that where you go (to the childhood nurse at the chemist)?
