Damien never used to sleep, i had nights at ngala, but found they didnt work for me, he used to wake for a bottle, every few hours until he was one, then i really pushed him with water during the night, and now he sleeps thru, Every night is different, depending on what we have done during the day.. We dont have a strict routine!

My daughter has a strict bedtime now because of school. She's in bed by 7:30pm Sunday - Thursday. Friday and Saturday she can stay up as long as she wants (usually crashes by 9pm, unless there's a movie on like tonight, The Sound of Music :D) I've always been one to be really relaxed about bedtimes. We've never had to get up early until last week when she started school. So I have always figured she'll go to sleep when she's tired, which she always has. And she's adapted really quickly and easily to the new bedtime routine - dinner, bath, PJ's, brush teeth, story, bed. She used to go to sleep in my bed most nights and we'd transfer her after she was asleep, so now that only happens on Friday and Saturday nights :( but she's fine with that. And I let her stay up as long as she wants on Fri and Sat nights, because I feel it empowers her. Why have a battle?? She says "I want to stay up all night!" I say "ok go for it" and she's always asleep by 9pm.

My son goes down at 8ish, sometimes 9ish, and he's asleep until the "midnight" feed which is anywhere between 11 and 2. Lately though, he's been asleep until well after midnight. Then usually one other feed before dawn (but sometimes not), and then he's awake about 6:30am.

ds2 goes to sleep around 6.30-7, and will wake a good few times a night for a BF (i co sleep) he is up in the morning between 6-7

Andrew is normally in bed around 7.30....it just works out that way, we dont' "enforce" it. Tonight he didn't go down until after 9...though that is very unusual.

DD (4.5 months) usually has her last feed around 9 - 10pm and then sleeps though most nights until 7 - 8am in the morning.

I'm so lucky :smiliedance:

I'll enjoy it while it lasts. I'm sure when teeth start it will be a whole new ball game.

If DD has a nap then she is in bed at 7.30pm and wakes about 7am. If no nap (like today) then into bed at 6.15pm wakes about 6.30am. We are pretty strick about bed time always have been and we have two awesome sleepers.

DS goes to bed at 6.30pm. I top him up (BF) at 8.30pm and put him straight back to bed and I wake him at 7am to start our day.

8pm is the magic time to get some peace and quiet.Ds has been sick in the last week so sleep time has been a nightmare. He has also learnt to open the door so I got those handles that spin. That'll fix'em.:fingerscrossed:

Olivers bed time is 7pm, but it can vary depending on the cirumstances. He was over tired last night so we had to give him a nap first....so bed time at 830 last night! LoL

From the day they were born, I always put my kids to bed at 7. With the older 2, they kept to this routine until they were about 6 and then we let them stay up until 8.
With DS2, he went to bed at 7 as well but changed his bedtime to 6:30 by himself when he was about 5mths old. He is 2 now and still goes to bed at 6:30.

DD goes to bed between 7-8pm. I'm flexible between those times but once it is nearing 8pm I put her to bed. She can be happily playing but after a feed and to bed she's asleep within 10 minutes. She sleeps 12-13 hours of a night time, with 1-2 feeds in the night.
When DD was first born her bed time was 1am. By 6 weeks it was 10pm, by 3 months it was 7-8pm.

Babe goes to bed at 7, is most of the time asleep as I am tucking him in. He pretty much did this himself and now looks for the bath, dressing, boob and bed so we have stuck to it.
He wakes at 7 in the morning after a early morning feed, so at the moment we are loving it.

Since he was born it has been 7.30 every night, but in the last few nights he has been conking out at about 6 o'clock. Luckily he's still sleeping for as long through the night - he must just need extra rest at the moment.

DS (3yrs) goes to bed at about 7:30pm, but lately he hates having the light off so I have been letting him sit on his bed and look at books until he is ready to go to sleep. Some nights he is still reading at 8:00 so I go in and take them away and tell him it's time to go to sleep...other nights he's asleep in 5mins and doesn't even bother asking for books.

DD goes to bed anywhere between 6:30pm - 7:30pm. She would probably be happy to stay up alot later but if it gets to 7:30 and she still doesn't seem tired I give her a bottle and put her in her bed anyway. She is usually asleep within 10mins...but sometimes plays with the toys hanging from her cot for a few mins first.

DS wakes up anywhere from 5:30am...doesn't wake me up that early tho, he turns the tv on, mostly for the light, and plays with his toys in the lounge room.
DD wakes up around 7am. She doesn't wake thru the night at all...unless she is sick.

My older two are usually in bed by 7.30 during the week. On weekends (fri, sat night) they are usually up later, if we go out, or have people over. My 3 month old normally goes to sleep between 7 and 8. I wake him up and feed him before I go to bed (normally 11pm)
I couldn't let the kids stay up later.....I enjoy my couple of hours 'me' time before bed!

DD starts her bedtime routine at 7.30pm .. lately it's taking almost an hour to get her INTO bed though :banghead:. Honestly - how frustrating can a 5-almost-6 year old be!

DS goes to bed anytime between 7.30pm & 9.00pm and we're very fotunate to have him sleeping through most nights now until at least 6am. :smiliedance:

I'm sure we'll have the same situation as DD in a few years to come though ;)

DD is usually in bed by 7pm. I think one of the practical parenting articles talked about catching the 7pm bus to ensure they sleep through ( or to help at least) and to have a later wake up time. Doesn't work in summer but seems to be working at the moment.
