How to opt-out of receiving Yellow & White pages

When was the last time you looked in the Y/W pages for a phone number or service?

I have thrown out the last three years worth without even ripping off the plastic (well I took off the plastic AS I tossed them in the recycle bin and put the plastic in the rubbish)

There are 20 million pages printed each year and only about 2 million are recycled

So can we all;

a) recycle what we have and
b) if you don't use them please opt out

oooo i didnt know you could Opt out. ours never get used, literally. new ones come, i throw the old ones in the recycling bin, same thing, every year. i use it all online now.

Thanks. I actually use the one we have and since the puppy ate it :o I've really missed it. The computer isn't always turned on when I need a number so it seems a hassle turning it on just to get one number.

Do you know if its an option to opt out if you're renting? There is no guarentee that we'll be here when the next lot arrive and I'd hate to opt out this address and the person moving in wants it.

If new tenant wanted pages they can always pick them up from the Post Office or ring and get a set

Great thread :thumbsup: My yellow pages are still in the plastic wrap (from 2 yrs ago) and was used as a booster seat for my dd, but shes tall enough now so my youngest has it. The newer issues delivered here went into the phone book muncher!

Brilliant! I fed last years half to the worms and the rest was used as a weed mat but would far rather not get it at all :wizard:
