This past week I've been skipping lots of meals, never seem to haev the time to eat as I'm always feeding or changing the girls... then yesterday I somehow managed to not eat all day.... and finally ate at lunchtime today, so I went well over 36 hours without eating.

DD is having EBM at every feed and at most feeds being offered the breast as well.... my convern is... with my not eating for so long is my milk going to be good enough for her at the moment? I've made a good effort for the rest of the day to eat properly and drink properly as I hadnt been drinking either but I'm concerned about it not having enough nutrients in it for her growth and well being.

She has some formula topups so that actually reassures me a bit but is prodominently having breastmilk so I'm quite concerned bout this.

Can someone please enlighten me on this topic, is the milk okay for her still?

yes, your milk is still okay for her, i think it is still the very best thing you could give her.:yelclap:

unfortunalty many mums around the world have poor diets, and still they continue to breastfeed their babies.

your body will provide nutrients for your bubba, if anything it will be your health that will suffer before bubs.

maybe you could prepare some easy snacks ahead of time, so that you can just grab something out of the fridge or pantry.
i use easy fruit like strawberries, mandarins and apples, and nuts and pretzels. i am also a big fan of chocolate mik for a quick energy boost:D .
i also find a water bottle i can carry around reminds me to drink water better than having to get a glass of water that can spill. i find that if i am feeling a bit low on milk i generally haven't been drinking much water, it does seem to give my supply a quick boost.

it does get busy looking after kids but you and your health is really important to your kids wellbeing, so it's worth it to find the time to nourish yourself.

good luck with it all:)

Yup, give the human body some credit :) That said though, of course its still better if you make sure you are looking after your health and diet too.

Your body will use your own stores of nutrients to make the breastmilk.

It's best to keep small snacks prepared!
