Hello,

Could anyone recommend some children friendly restaurants in Sydney?

It would be nice if we could make a list by state that the mums on the forum could go to, and maybe rate the restaurants? (If it's allowed) (That's if one does not exist)

I seem to go to the same place all the time or not go out.

Thanks heaps;)

Great idea!

Not that I have taken my daughter there but I used to always see kids at Gourmet Pizza Kitchen (GPK) at Castle Towers (Castle Hill) and at Chatswood. They even give them raw pizza dough to play with along with the pencils and colouring in paper.

Not sure of any others but would love to hear what everyone else has to say.

We go to the Bay Tinh (Vietnamese restaurant) in Marrickville, NSW.

They're always really nice, have a couple of basic high chairs, and the food is to die for!!!
Best to get there early as they get really busy from 730pm onwards. We usually go at 6pm and we're done by 7pm, just as more ppl start to come.

From the outside it doesn't look that flash, and their tables and chairs aren't flashy (the chairs are comfortable though), but the waiters/waitresses are all in traditional dress, and I think they just put all their money into the food!!

There's another Vietnamese restaurant next door that I have only ever seen 1 or 2 ppl in, while the Bay Tinh gets packed! So I guess that's a sign of how good the food/service is!:yelclap:

hi there Grace3

I have only just come across your thread and you have probably sorted it all out by now, but if you haven't, there is a site that allows you to search and rate, as you request...

It is called bubabout
(I don't think I am allowed to post URLs but if you google it, you should find it, and they have a Sydney page sorted into areas. I don't know Sydney but I assume that your area may be covered?)

It seems to be regularly updated and has contributions from people around the country.

Good luck!

i was going to say that too :-) i laugh when ever we ring up to book they ask children or no children because it will then depend on which side of the room they put you on , like smoking and no smoking hehehehe

it is great though all the kids are making noise and no one cares cause everyones kids are doing the same
its not the world best pizza but its ok just a nice place to go
